Deathtrap, the longest-running comedy/thriller on Broadway, brings tantalizing twists and shocking turns to Sacramento Theatre Company (STC) this month. This 1978 play-within-a-play by Ira Levin (Rosemary's Baby, The Stepford Wives) was nominated for four Tony Awards, including Best Play. Directed by STC's Executive Producing Director, Michael Laun, Deathtrap is a deliciously suspenseful whodunit and being entertained in the cozy Pollock Theatre is a perfect way to spend a chilly fall evening.

Fresh off winning an Elly Award for best production of a new script, California Stage's final show of the 25th Anniversary season marks the upcoming presidential election with Elly-nominated director Gail Dartez directing Eric Baldwin in CalStage's stunning new staging of RFK by Jack Holmes opening on October 28th.

More than 410 Elly nominees for the 2015-16 season were announced at an informal nomination reception on Sunday, August 7, 2016 beginning at 7pm. More than 100 actors, directors, technicians, and producers were on hand to listen excitedly for their names to be called.  This year's theme is Some Enchanted Ellys. 

Capital Stage continues its 2015/16 Season with a poignant new play by legendary playwright Caryl Churchill. The Sacramento Premiere of LOVE AND INFORMATION will be the main-stage directorial debut of local theatre talent, Benjamin T. Ismail. LOVE AND INFORMATION will run from January 27 through February 28, 2016 with a Press Opening on Saturday, January 30 at 8pm. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!
