The Guthrie Theater in co-production with Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, presents the world premiere of Shane by Karen Zacarías, adapted from the novel by Jack Schaefer and directed by Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park Artistic Director Blake Robison. Co-commissioned by the Guthrie and Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park in 2021, Shane will play July 15 – August 27, 2023, on the McGuire Proscenium Stage.

Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company announces its next production of Season 36: The Nether, by Blackburn Prize-winning playwright Jennifer Haley. Directed by Shana Cooper and featuring notable D.C. actor Ed Gero in his first appearance at Woolly, The Nether will run from April 4 to May 1, 2016.

The Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company has extended its run of 'Gruesome Playground Injuries' by one week. It is now scheduled to close on Saturday, June 19. Gruesome Playground Injuries was created by the 2010 Pulitzer Prize-finalist Rajiv Joseph and is directed by John Vreeke. Gruesome Playground Injuries stars Gabriela Fernandez-Coffey and Tim Getman.

Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, on the verge of turning the big 3-0, is excited to announce the lineup of plays for the 30th Season (2009-10). Featured are a World Premiere by Danai Gurira (In the Continuum), exciting new works from Mike Daisey (If You See Something Say Something), Rajiv Joseph (Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo), and Bruce Norris (The Unmentionables), and a large-scale work by Charles L. Mee (Big Love). In addition, Woolly Mammoth?s favorite out-of-town troupe, The Neo-Futurists, returns to DC for an unprecedented fourth engagement of their hit show, Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind in December.
