The Drama League have announced the exceptional stage directors who have been selected as the 2015 Directing Fellows of The Drama League Directors Project: Paul Bedard, Estefania Fadul, Aneesha Kudtarkar, Emily Lyon, Brad Raimondo, Austin Regan, Daniel Rogers, Annie Tippe, Sarah Wansley and Brandon Woolf. In addition, an eleventh fellow has been selected for a brand-new fellowship program, which will be revealed during the 81st Annual Drama League Awards Ceremony, which will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015 at the Marriott Marquis Times Square (1535 Broadway). Oscar-nominated screenwriter Lucy Alibar ('Beasts of the Southern Wild') joins public conversation following New Dramatists alumni reading of 2012 OBIE Award-winning playwright Caridad Svich's new play Upon the Fragile Shore tonight, October 16, 2014 at 7 PM, and The Drama League in New York City hosts its reading of the play on November 8 under Gabriel Shanks' direction as part of global artivist action centered on this work of intertwining monologues, which explores human rights and environmental issues around the world especially in relationship to human-made tragedies and their aftermath.

Tony and Olivier Award winning producers, Stewart F. Lane and Bonnie Comley hosted a dinner in honor of the 2014-2015 Directors Project fellows on Tuesday, May 13th. The Directors Project fellows are in New York city for an intensive week-long orientation program which includes a series of events and opportunities to speak with theatre professionals.
