Barter Theatre officials announced today its 2019 season lineup during an exclusive event highlighting select excerpts from various upcoming productions. The event included the details of 16 diverse shows planned for 2019 with the theme of Love, Laughter, and Passion.
Opening Night is set for Wednesday, October 17th for Keen Company's fourth musical, the first NY revival of Adam Gwon's acclaimed Ordinary Days, directed by Keen Artistic Director Jonathan Silverstein. Whitney Bashor (The Bridges of Madison County), Marc delaCruz (If/Then), Sarah Lynn Marion (2013 Jimmy awards winner), and Kyle Sherman (Pete the Cat) star. This limited Off-Broadway engagement will continue through November 17th only.

Directed by Bob Kelly, Candlelight's Brigadoon features Andy Boettcher and Jared Calhoun as adventurers Tommy Albright and Jeff Douglas who find themselves lost in the highlands when Brigadoon comes to life. Single tickets for Michigan Opera Theatre's (MOT) 2018-19 season will go on sale next Monday, Aug. 20. The MOT opera series celebrates masterworks of literature turned opera, by authors like John Steinbeck and Voltaire. The MOT dance series will celebrate modern dance, following the movement through multiple generations. It also includes a program featuring ballet legend Alessandra Ferri as well as local favorite "The Nutcracker" with BalletMet.
SHN announced that THE BAND'S VISIT, one of the most Tony Award-winning musicals in history, will be coming to San Francisco as part of the 2019-2020 SHN season.
