Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Frist Art Museum has announced its 2021 schedule of exhibitions. In the Ingram Gallery, the year begins with Picasso. Figures, an exhibition from the Musée national Picasso-Paris that offers an in-depth look at his career-long fascination with the human body.

Scrimmage: Football in American Art from the Civil War to Present is the first comprehensive assembly of work by prominent American artists focusing on football. This exciting new exhibition is on view August 1 – October 29, 2017 with a special public reception on August 10 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Canton Museum of Art.

The Sid Richardson Museum will join the three-state (Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas) 2017 celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Chisholm Trail. 'Hide & Horn on the Chisholm Trail' will run from Friday, January 6, 2017, through Sunday, May 28, 2017. Visitors will view rarely seen items from the cattle trail era, 'Guests of Honor' on loan from the Rees-Jones Collection of Dallas, another private collection and the Sid Richardson Museum. This focus exhibition will be on display concurrently with the museum's ongoing exhibition, 'Legacy,' which depicts the clash of cultures of the 19th century American West.

Deborah Remington's exhibition comprises over thirty works from fifty-six years of Remington's practice in drawing, encompassing the artist's diverse styles: from the more traditional abstract works of the late fifties, to her closely rendered signature shield forms of the sixties and seventies, to a synthesis of six decades in the later works.

The Hoehn Family Galleries at the University of San Diego will host two exhibitions from July 8 through September 2, 2016. American Art from a Pacific Northwest Collection 1860-1915, is a unique display bringing together more than 20 extraordinary works by American painters, sculptors and printmakers from a renowned private collection in the Pacific Northwest and on view in San Diego for the first time.
