The Pollard Theatre in historic downtown Guthrie proudly celebrates its 24th year with a collection titled 24 Seasons of Laughter. Shows in 24 Seasons of Laughter include: Harvey, Lucky Stiff, A Territorial Christmas Carol, The NERD, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and Passing Strange (see detailed show information below).

The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre is once again preparing to start work on an area premiere production. Having been the first to bring shows such as Jerry Herman's La Cage aux Folles, Neil Simon's The Goodbye Girl - The Musical, Mel Brooks' The Producers, as well as a regional theatre premiere production of The Wedding Singer to western Maryland audiences, Way Off Broadway is adding the musical comedy Dirty Rotten Scoundrels to the list of firsts.

Since their inception in 1996 the Paper Mill Playhouse (Mark S. Hoebee-Artistic Director, Mark W. Jones-Executive Director) Rising Star Awards for Excellence in High School Musical Theatre have ignited the careers of many notable performers, all of whom attended high school in New Jersey. Among the early nominees and winners are Academy Award® nominee Anne Hathaway, and Tony® award winner Laura Benanti.

Casting for the 60th Music Circus season is nearing completion. After auditioning performers in New York, Los Angeles and Sacramento, California Musical Theatre Artistic Director Glenn Casale is finalizing the acting company for the seven-show season at the Wells Fargo Pavilion. The company is expected to include Broadway veterans, including Tony Award nominees, television comedians, up-and-coming young actors and plenty of returning Music Circus favorites. San Jose Stage Company and Broadway San Jose are pleased to announce their community partnership to send the local winners for Outstanding Performance by an Actress and Actor in a Musical to participate in the National High School Musical Theatre Awards 2010 JIMMY Awards and compete for a four year academic scholarship to New York University.

Sacramento Music Circus has announced the casting for its sixtieth summer season. The seven-show season will include the Music Circus premieres of 'Spamalot,' 'Dirty Rotten Scoundrels' and 'The Marvelous Wonderettes' and new stagings of 'Oklahoma!,' 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,' '42nd Street' and 'Funny Girl,' the latter returning to Music Circus after an 18-year absence.

Old Courthouse Theatre (49 Spring Stree SW, Concord) is holding auditions for the comedy-musical Dirty Rotten Scoundrels May 23 and 24 at 7-9pm. Dirty Rotten Soundrels by David Yazbek and Jeffrey Lane is based on the popular 1988 film about two fraudsters, Lawrence Hameson and Freddy Benson, living in the French Riviera. Uptown Players continues its ninth season with the regional premiere of the musical comedy, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, at the historic Kalita Humphreys Theater, former home of the Dallas Theater Center.
