Commonwealth Shakespeare Company to Present Free TWELFTH NIGHT, 7/23-8/10

One of Greater Boston's most beloved summer traditions, Commonwealth Shakespeare Company's (CSC) 'Free Shakespeare On The Common,' presents the Bard's classic comedy of love in disguise Twelfth Night July 23 - August 10, 2014. Performances are free and open to the public and held Tuesdays thru Saturdays at 8pm, Sundays at 7pm; with one matinee on Saturday, July 26 @ 3pm. (Press performance is Wednesday, July 30 at 8pm). Trinity Rep Announces Master Classes for Young Adults

Trinity Rep announces the addition of a new offering from their Young Actors Summer Institute (YASI). YASI Masters is a week-long program for high school students looking to deepen their theater practice and dig into intensive and concentrated training with top experts in their fields. The teaching roster boasts Trinity Rep company members and professional artists from around the region. The session runs August 11-14, 2014 with courses running 9:30-12:30pm and 1:30-4:30pm each day.

The Gamm Extends MACBETH Through 4/19

The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre (The Gamm) has announced four additional performances of Macbeth extended through April 19 by popular demand. William Shakespeare's classic tale about the lust for power, guilt and destiny, directed by Fred Sullivan, Jr., has been playing to full houses nightly and critical praise since it opened on March 6.

Trinity Rep to Premiere VERONICA MEADOWS, 4/3-5/4

Trinity Rep continues its commitment to new plays with the world premiere of Veronica Meadows by Stephen Thorne, directed by Michael Perlman in Trinity Rep's intimate Dowling Theater from April 3 to May 4, 2014. Girl detective Veronica Meadows has been solving small town crimes for as long as anyone can remember. Time and time again, they stop the evil-doers in their tracks and heroically save the day. That is, until the day our plucky girl detective stops following the rules of the game and takes a dangerous turn into the unknown. This world premiere is a darkly comic gem from Stephen Thorne, resident actor and playwright of The Completely Fictional- Utterly True - Final Strange Tale of Edgar Allan Poe. MACBETH to Run 3/10-4/13 at Gamm Theatre

William Shakespeare's MACBETH, directed by Fred Sullivan, Jr., will run March 10-April 13 at The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre, 172 Exchange St., Pawtucket, RI. Trinity Repertory Company's Fred Sullivan, Jr., who recently won rave reviews for his portrayal as Scrooge in Trinity Rep's holiday production of A Christmas Carol, will be starring as Max Prince in Ocean State Theatre Company's upcoming production of Neil Simon's Laughter on the 23rd Floor. This semi-autobiographical comedy focuses on the hilarities that take place in the writer's room of a weekly comedy-variety show circa 1953, and the show's star, a Sid Caesar-like, Max Prince.
