ATYP Presents STOP KISS, Now thru 22 March

Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP) launch their 2014 Selects season (previously known as Under the Wharf) with the Australian premiere of Diana Son's critically acclaimed play Stop Kiss. Presented by Unlikely Productions, the production opens on the 7th of March and is an official 2014 Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras event.

Jeff Dunham's ACHMED SAVES AMERICA Set for 3/18 Blu-ray, DVD Release

Jeff Dunham's beloved character Achmed the Dead Terrorist gets his own animated adventure when “Achmed Saves America,” created by and featuring the voice talents of Dunham, is released on Blu-ray and DVD on Tuesday, March 18. Released by Comedy Central Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment, the DVD will be available at Walmart and major retailers nationwide. The discs are currently available for pre-order on Amazon.com.

March at Coach House Books Includes the AWP Conference, Sina Queyras and More

Hudson Stage Company to Present A KIND OF ALASKA & A NUMBER in Rep, 5/1-17

Hudson Stage Company announces its spring mainstage production, a first in theatrical history. Two British plays will be paired: A KIND OF ALASKA by Harold Pinter with A NUMBER by Caryl Churchill. With special permission granted by the late Sir Harold Pinter?s widow, Lady Antonia Fraser, as a rare exception because he greatly admired Ms. Churchill?s work, this will be an opportunity for audiences to witness two of England?s greatest playwrights in tandem. This not-to-be-missed event will run for three weekends only May 2nd-17th.

Joe Fresh is Going Global

Loblaw Companies Limited ('Loblaw') and its affiliates, the owners of Joe Fresh , announced the signing of three separate partnership agreements that bring the brand into 23 new countries. The agreements cover key growth markets in the Middle East, North Africa, Europe and South Korea. The partnerships represent the first expansion for Joe Fresh beyond North America.

Talisman Theatre's THE AENEID to Play Theatre La Chapelle, March 6-15

Talisman Theatre is honoured to present the Canadian English-language premiere of this important story, The Aeneid. Written by Quebecois playwright Olivier Kemeid and translated by Judith Miller, The Aeneid will be performed at Theatre La Chapelle from March 6-15. Directed by Zach Fraser, the cast features Marcelo Arroyo, Deena Aziz and Chimwemwe Miller as the gifted actor/puppeteers playing over 20 roles in this dynamic blend of epic legend and contemporary reality.

Oregon Shakespeare Festival's 2014 Previews Begin Tonight

The Tony Award-winning Oregon Shakespeare Festival's 2014 preview performances begin tonight, February 14, and the season will open Friday night, February 21 in the Angus Bowmer Theatre with Shakespeare's The Tempest (director, Tony Taccone). On Saturday, Lorraine Hansberry's The Sign in Sidney Brustein's Window (Juliette Carrillo) takes the stage, as does the classic Marx Brothers musical The Cocoanuts (David Ivers), and Sunday afternoon Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors (Kent Gash) opens in the Thomas Theatre.

THERESE RAQUIN to Open at Finborough Theatre, March 25

Following the sell-out success of its workshop as part of Vibrant 2012 - A Festival of Finborough Playwrights, and as part of the Finborough Theatre's acclaimed Celebrating British Music Theatre series, the world premiere of a new musical adaptation of the classic French novel Therese Raquin opens at the multi-award-winning Finborough Theatre for a four week run, opening Tuesday, 25 March 2014 (Press Night: Thursday, 27 March 2014 at 7.30pm), starring Julie Atherton and Olivier Award nominee Tara Hugo.
