TheatreWorks Announces 50th Season: World Premiere Musical, More

Theatre enthusiasts packed the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts last night to hear Founding Artistic Director Robert Kelley and Executive Director Phil Santora of TheatreWorks Silicon Valley reveal the lineup for the company's 50th season, which launches this summer. Kelley's 50th and final season as Artistic Director of TheatreWorks Silicon Valley includes triumphant returns of TheatreWorks favorites, bold premieres developed at the company's annual New Works Festival, and celebrated works from the nation's leading playwrights.

Great Northeast Productions, Inc. and the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) are proud to present THE PIANO GUYS in their only New England appearance for one show only at PPAC on Wednesday, September 11 at 7:30P. Tickets are $39.50 ­- $79.50 and go on sale Friday, February 15 at 10A at the PPAC Box Office, located at 220 Weybosset Street in downtown Providence. TheatreWorks Silicon Valley continues its 2018/19 season with the World Premiere of Hershey Felder: A Paris Love Story, written and performed by piano virtuoso Hershey Felder, who shattered box office records at TheatreWorks with his acclaimed portrayals of Irving Berlin, Beethoven, and Tchaikovsky. Now, Felder captures the life and music of Impressionist composer Claude Debussy, a visionary who proclaimed nature his religion, creating music of ravishing beauty, color, and compassion, from the sweeping "La mer" to the evocative "L'apres-midi d'un faune" and the mystical "Clair de lune." Intertwined with Debussy's story, Felder for the first time shares his own deeply personal connection to the City of Light.

Hershey Felder Returns To San Diego REP In BEETHOVEN

San Diego Repertory Theatre (San Diego REP) has announced the return of San Diego's beloved artist, Hershey Felder with his latest smash hit celebrating the world's greatest composer, Beethoven. Following his triumphs as Piotr Tchaikovsky and Irving Berlin in 2017-2018, the brilliant Hershey Felder will bring Ludwig van Beethoven to life through the eyes of a Viennese doctor who spent his boyhood by the Maestro's side in Beethoven. Directed by Joel Zwick, performances of Hershey Felder, Beethoven run February 21 - March 24, 2019, at the Lyceum Stage Theatre. Tickets start at $25 and are currently on sale to the general public. Beethoven previews on February 21, with press opening on Friday, February 22 at 8:00 p.m.

It is difficult to fully appreciate the volume and quality of songs written by Irving Berlin in your head at one moment. Most of us over a certain age know several, but we might not always connect each one to Berlin. We always know he was responsible for 'White Christmas', of course, and 'God Bless America', but you might only know that 'I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm' was written by one of those names...Cole Porter perhaps, or Jerome Kern.

Segerstrom Center Presents The Tak Cs Quartet

The Tak cs Quartet returns to Segerstrom Center for the Arts on February 28, 2019 at 8:00pm. HERSHEY FELDER, A PARIS LOVE STORY Will Have Its World Premiere In April 2019

Award-winning actor, author and piano virtuoso Hershey Felder will present the world premiere of his newest work, Hershey Felder, A Paris Love Story, featuring the music of the great Impressionist composer Claude Debussy, in April 2019. The production is the final work in Felder's critically acclaimed "Great Composer Series" of one-man shows, which have included George Gershwin, Leonard Bernstein, Irving Berlin, Ludwig van Beethoven, Frederic Chopin, Franz Liszt, and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
