TITAS Presents, in association with the AT&T Performing Arts Center, proudly announced today that it is co-commissioning an evening of new work by Twyla Tharp, one of the most important and influential choreographers of our time. The work will premiere in Dallas at the AT&T Performing Arts Center Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House on September 18 and 19, launching Tharp's Fiftieth Anniversary Tour. The 10-week North American tour will celebrate Tharp's five decades of dance-making for both modern and ballet companies, television, the Broadway stage and Hollywood films.

HOUSTON (September 15, 2015) – With the 2015-16 season in full swing, the Houston Symphony will offer a wide range of concerts in October, including Classical, POPS, Family and Specials.

He is also a man who likes to take chances. Alexander made his name in comedy at the turn of the millennium, as one half of the BAFTA winning duo Armstrong & Miller. Then in 2009, on the back of his success as a regular guest host on "Have I Got News For You", he was offered a permanent role as the host of BBC1's "Pointless". Always one for a new challenge, Armstrong leapt at the chance. Now, he is branching out again.

After several previous sold out engagements, Bay Area favorite Tom Reardon returns to Feinstein's at the Nikko with his brand new show Until the Night for two performances only - tonight, September 16 (7 p.m.) and tomorrow, September 17 (8 p.m.).

Walnut Street Theatre opens its landmark 207th season with the sparkling Broadway musical featuring the classic sounds of Cole Porter, HIGH SOCIETY. Directed by Frank Anzalone, with choreography by Mary Jane Houdina, this Philadelphia premiere opens tonight, September 16th, and runs through October 25th on the Walnut's Mainstage.

? Upstage Lung Cancer (ULC), a Boston not-for-profit organization dedicated to increasing funding and advocacy for lung cancer, will present High Hopes, a celebration of the music of Frank Sinatra on the heels of his 100th birthday, on November 10, 2015, at the Lyric Stage Company of Boston.

The 89th Annual Feast of San Gennaro, New York City's longest-running, biggest and most revered religious outdoor festival, will take place Thursday, September 10 through Sunday, September 20, 2015, on the streets of historic Little Italy, the lower Manhattan neighborhood which served as the first home in America for hundreds of thousands of Italian immigrants seeking a better life in the early 20th century.

Friars Club had a special  Bottoms Up Happy Hour last night to introduce two new bartenders, Jeanette and Joe. The jam packed Lucille Ball room also featured the piano stylings and vocals of Friar Stephen Sorokoff. After a very happy few hours many members enjoyed dinner in the Frank Sinatra dinning room where one of the menu selections was Friar Jimmy Fallon's Favorite Chicken Chow Mein. Even some Friars who were rained out of the Tennis Open were happy as they listened to Stephen's Billy Stritch, Buddy Greco, Errol Garner, & Steve Tyrell influenced musical offerings.
