TheaterWorksUSA has announced their upcoming 2022 - 2023 season, including the national touring premieres of PETE THE CAT'S BIG HOLLYWOOD ADVENTURE, EL OTRO OZ, and THE LIGHTNING THIEF: TYA EDITION, along with returning favorites touring across the country.

Tony and Olivier-winning OHenry Productions, in association with Seaview Productions, Eric Kuhn, and Jonathan Demar, has announced the Off-Broadway transfer of the sold-out, New York Times critic's pick production of This Beautiful Future.

GableStage presents the witty dramatic comedy FADE by Tanya Saracho, a story about friendship, opportunity, assumptions, ambition, culture and betrayal. Directed by award-winning Miami-based actor, director and writer Teo Castellanos, FADE runs August 19, 2022– September 18, 2022 and it is available for streaming from August 24 to September 18.

Written by Rita Kalnejais and directed by Jack Serio, This Beautiful Future is a story of young love set during World War II. The production, which was twice-extended at Theaterlab and marked the playwright's New York debut, was embraced by critics and audiences alike during its limited run in January 2022.

The world premiere of Rubengology: The Making of an American Legend, a collaboration between GableStage, the longstanding theatre company located in Coral Gables' historic Biltmore Hotel and Abre Camino Collective, runs from July 14 – 31.

Billy Aberle and Chris Sabol's Straight Forward is an original musical inspired by an article by Mike Iamele that went viral on social media in 2014, explaining how he began developing romantic and sexual feelings for his male best friend Garrett Lech, despite them both identifying as straight.

TheaterWorksUSA  will bring Family Summer Theater back to New York audiences with the NYC premiere of El Otro Oz.

GableStage presents The Year of Magical Thinking, an account of the year following the death of writer Joan Didion's husband John Gregory Dunne in 2003. The book was immediately acclaimed as a classic memoir about mourning. It won the 2005 National Book Award for Nonfiction and was a finalist for both the National Book Critics Circle Award and the Pulitzer Prize for Autobiography.

The Fine Arts Center Theatre Company is proud to present “The Legend of Georgia McBride,” by Tony Award-winning playwright Matthew Lopez on stage April 21–May 15, 2022; directed by Marisa D. Hebert.  

New York Theatre Workshop announced today performers and presenters for the NYTW 2022 Gala, honoring Artistic Director James C. Nicola, who will depart NYTW after 34 years on June 30, 2022. The Gala will be held on Monday April 11 at 6PM at Capitale (130 Bowery, New York, NY 10013).

Theaterlab, in association with Lawryn LaCroix, has announced that Tony nominee Austin Pendleton will join the cast of the U.S. premiere of This Beautiful Future by Rita Kalnejais. Pendleton replaces the previously announced Bill Buell who has withdrawn from the production.

Weston Playhouse Theatre Company announces the closing production of its 2021 summer season: Katori Hall's THE MOUNTAINTOP, running September 30 – October 23 at Walker Farm.

Urban Stages announced the release of two Off-Broadway productions on YouTube beginning Friday, May 15 at noon. First up will be Dogs of Rwanda, written by Sean Christopher Lewis, directed by Frances Hill and Peter Napolitano, starring Dan Hodge, with music composed and performed by Abou Lion Diarra.
