As Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater departs the UK following performances at the Edinburgh International Festival and Sadler's Wells, the incredible young dancers of Ailey 2 will embark on a 12-venue tour presented by Dance Consortium.

Park Avenue Armory has announced the latest program in its Making Space Public Programming Series, Hidden Conversations, presented in partnership with National Black Theatre (NBT), Sunday, June 18, 2023 from 3pm to 8pm.

Put on your most comfortable walking shoes and be led by poet Paul Rabinowitz through Fort Tryon Park to see and hear dance, music, and poetry performed on benches, lawns, stairways, pathways, near rock faces, and under trees. The event will take place Saturday, June 3 from 3 to 5 PM (rain date: June 4).

This June, the Martha Graham Dance Company's acclaimed second company will be back on stage for its 40th New York season with an exciting program of new works and Graham classics.

Park Avenue Armory's Making Space Public Programming Series and Harlem Stage will co-present Hapo Na Zamani (Black Arts Movement Past and Present), a 1960s-style happening.

The New York based JOFFREY BALLET CONCERT GROUP will appear Sunday May 14th, 7:30 pm at The Riverside Theater, located in Riverside Church, NYC.  The dancers will appear in works by Artistic Director Bradley Shelver and young choreographer Eric Trope, and will be joined by guest youth company, Le Jeune Ballet of Blue Ash Ohio, under the direction of former Joffrey Ballet dancer Steve Beirens.

New Ballet Ensemble & School will present its 20th annual “Springloaded” production, featuring original and reimagined works. The program will return to the Buckman Performing Arts Center, where it premiered in the spring of 2003.

The Joan W. and Irving B. Harris Theater for Music and Dance has announced its 20th anniversary season, bringing pioneering artists from around the globe to Chicago and continuing to champion the world-class ensembles and arts organizations that call the city home.

This March, Ailey Extension invites all to celebrate Women's History Month by joining in the fun during workshops taught by leading ladies of the dance world. Each workshop makes room for guests of all ages, genders, backgrounds, and experience levels to honor the impact of women in dance and embrace their own feminine energy while exploring a variety of exciting techniques.

Park Avenue Armory's Making Space public programming series will present the second program it its 2023 season, Juke Joint, Friday, March 31st and Saturday, April 1st.

Houston Contemporary Dance Company's primary focus is to provide Houstonians with opportunities to view world class contemporary concert dance and engage with the artists involved, including dancers, choreographers and designers. Coincide will present 2 World Premieres by Alexander Anderson and Yoshito Sakuraba. The company will also present works from Choreographers Eoghan Dillon, Andrea Dawn Shelley and a film from Hope Stone Dance. 

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, an American cultural ambassador to the world, and Artistic Director Robert Battle were officially welcomed to the White House and New York City Hall this month as the organization's performances and programs reach across the country during Black History Month.

This World Premiere performance of The Reckoning is multidisciplinary choreographer and director Francesca Harper's response to the 2010 killing of seven-year-old Aiyana Mo'Nay Stanley-Jones at the hands of Detroit law enforcement.

The Joffrey Ballet Concert Group, under the artistic direction of Bradley Shelver, will appear in all new works, Feb. 16-18 at the Ailey Citigroup Theater.  Shelver has created two new works for the event, 12th Room and Random People With Beautiful Parts,  and the program will also see two new works by young dancemakers Lindsay Grymes and Eric Trope, recipients of the first Creative Movers Choreographic Initiative, a new program of the Joffrey Ballet Concert Group.   

For spring 2023 Works & Process will present a robust series at the Guggenheim Museum, Lincoln Center, and The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. Programs provide audiences with unprecedented access to creative process blending artist discussions and performance highlights.

Park Avenue Armory will begin its 2023 Season with Symposium: Sound & Color - The Future of Race in Design, an interdisciplinary forum exploring how race matters in creative design for live performance, especially in the current moment of creative, technological, and cultural unrest.

Complexions Contemporary Ballet (Complexions) returns to The Joyce Theater from November 22–December 4, 2022. Now in its 28th season, the company takes the stage with two no-holds-barred programs danced by a treasure trove roster of performers.

​​​​​​​Ailey II will be presented by the FSCJ Artist Series, sponsored by VyStar Credit Union, February 21, 2023 at 7:30 P.M., at the Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts.

The recently renovated State Theatre New Jersey presents Ailey II, the next generation of dance featuring a renowned ensemble of 12 rising stars on Thursday, November 10 at 8pm. Tickets range from $29-$49.
