The Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, inspired by the electrifying true story, rocks the Warner Theatre on Wednesday, September 19 at 8 pm.

With demand for tickets as hot as the current heatwave, Bucks County Playhouse's team announced today a two-week extension of its hit production of the Tony-award winning musical, "Million Dollar Quartet." The show, originally scheduled to close on Saturday, September 15, will now close Saturday, September 29.

MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET is a jukebox musical that uses the recording of an impromptu jam session that involed Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Johnny Cash as its basis. The recording was discovered in the vaults at the Sun Record Studios in Memphis, Tennessee in 1981. The recording itself was made on December 4, 1956. This session is considered a seminal moment in rock and roll. The musical opened on Broadway in 2010, after several tryouts and regional productions, and spawned a 2011 West End production. It uses 23 songs,not all of which are from the Sun Records catalog.

HEARTBREAK HOTEL announced today that the production will no longer play through October 28th and is now in its final three weeks at Broadway In Chicago's Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E. Chestnut Street). HEARTBREAK HOTEL will close September 9, 2018 in Chicago.

Broadway In Chicago, the producers of HEARTBREAK HOTEL, and Authentic Brands Group (ABG), owner of Elvis Presley Enterprises today, are thrilled to announce a new four-week extension of their smash hit musical.  Tickets for the new block of tickets will go on-sale today.  Tickets will be available for performances through October 28, 2018.

The cast of HEARTBREAK HOTEL are inspired to host a Candlelight Vigil to honor Elvis as part of Elvis Week on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 6:15PM in front of the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E. Chestnut).  Elvis Week is an annual celebration to commemorate the life and legacy of Elvis Presley, the King of Rock and Roll.  Elvis and HEARTBREAK HOTEL fans alike are welcome to join this celebration, which will be a Chicago addition to the Graceland tradition.

Audiences will relive one of the most magical nights in rock and roll history when Bucks County Playhouse presents the Tony Award-winning musical "Million Dollar Quartet." Directed by original Broadway cast member Hunter Foster, the high voltage rock 'n roll musical, with book by Colin Escott and Floyd Mutrux, is inspired by the true story of a famed recording session that brought together four music icons for an infamous all-night jam session. "Million Dollar Quartet" previews August 10 with an official opening night performance on Saturday, August 11 at 7:30 pm with performances through September 15. Irving Berlin's White Christmas - The Musical, the iconic holiday favorite, Million Dollar Quartet, hailing Elvis, Johnny Cash and other recording icons, and The Pajama Game, the Tony Award classic musical, are among the 2019 Season show favorites announced by Linda Fortunato, artistic director at Theatre at the Center (TATC), the only professional theater company in Northwest Indiana.

In the new Elvis musical HEARTBREAK HOTEL, hearts are unfortunately not the only thing that's breaking at the Broadway Playhouse. This show, from MILLION DOLLAR QUARTER co-creator Floyd Mutrux (who also directs), serves up slice-and-dice theater. Watching the musical gave me a feeling of theatrical whiplash, as it rotated between scenes and songs at a confusingly rapid speed. While I was much looking forward to hearing some of Elvis's greatest hits live onstage, Mutrux's book delivers them piecemeal. Most of Elvis's songs are reduced to snippets of roughly 30 seconds or so, which might leave even the most hard-core fans of 'the King' wishing for more.

Sony/ATV Music Publishing has come on board as a co-producer and investor of brand new Elvis Presley stage musical HEARTBREAK HOTEL.

There are few shows of this genre, i.e., cover bands, tributes to, impersonators and artists embodying a legendary character... or three or four... that have the triple-threat talent needed for these portrayals of Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis Presley.
