The event begins with a 90 minute promenade-style cocktail hour in which all three venues at MTH will be used to highlight 3 different entertainment acts. Kansas City's very popular Motown and funk band 2 PROUD 2 BEG will be perfroming in MTH's newly renovated Studio Theater, while the 12 piece PEOPLE'S LIBERATION BIG BAND (fresh off their inspiring turn in MTH's recent production of 'An Evening with George Gershwin') will be perfroming in MTH's 133 seat Stage 2, and finally Ensemble Iberica's internationally acclaimed guitar virtuoso, Beau Bledsoe will be performing in MTH's Main stage venue.

Grease is the word at Starlight Theatre now through Thursday, Sept. 14. The beloved musical that features 1950s' high school romance and rock 'n' roll will cruise across the Starlight stage like Greased Lightnin' for six performances, opening on Friday night, Sept. 8 and continuing through Sept. 14.

The MTH Theater at Crown Center is pleased to announce the cast of She Loves Me, its first book musical of the season. Artistic Director Sarah Crawford will direct a fifteen person ensemble led by Kansas City favorite Lauren Braton in the role of Amalia. The remainder of the cast includes Joshua Balm, Katie Bartow, Patrick Beasley, Elizabeth Birger, Beth Borders, Andy Garrison, Dalton Homolka, Evan Lovelace, Ethan Miller, Eric Morris, Brooke Myers, Fisher Stewart, Jackson Tomlin, and Kyra Weinberger.

The "most famous reindeer of all" from the longest-running and highest-rated holiday television special will be live on stage in Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical at The Coterie Theatre in Crown Center. It amazes me how a musical performed with little or no scenery, props, or costumes, and on a small intimate stage can become one of the preeminent shows of the season. That is exactly what Oliver! accomplished on opening night Saturday December 6 at the Off Center Theatre in Kansas City. This achievement speaks volumes to the creative team of Musical Theater Heritage that labored to near perfection.
