Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) presents the TRU Writer-Director Communications Lab on Saturday, February 19, 2011 from 1pm to 7pm at The Players Theatre, 115 MacDougal Street, Studio 3C. If accepted into the lab, the cost is $75 ($60 for TRU members). Writer applications are available at www.truonline.org/DirectorLabFeb11.htm. Interested directors may email TRUnltd@aol.com and attach a brief resume. The lab will be taught by producers Pam Koslow (Jelly's Last Jam, Jane Eyre, Yank!) and director Robert Kalfin, former artistic director of Chelsea Theatre (Yentl, Strider, Candide).

Joan Rosenbaum To Retire As Director Of The Jewish Museum, 6/2011

Joan Rosenbaum, who has led The Jewish Museum since 1981, creating its innovative identity as a museum of art and culture and doubling the size of its home at Fifth Avenue and 92nd Street, has informed the full Board of Trustees of her intention to retire at the end of June 2011 from her position as Helen Goldsmith Menschel Director of the Museum.

Children's Playhouse of Maryland, in residence at the Community College of Baltimore County, will end its run of the Maryland premiere of the family musical, Captain Louie on March 21. Captain Louie tells the story of a young boy (Louie) who moves to a new neighborhood, and has trouble making friends.

Children's Playhouse of Maryland, in residence at the Community College of Baltimore County, presents the Maryland premiere of the family musical, Captain Louie, a story of a young boy (Louie) who moves to a new neighborhood, and has trouble making friends. Lonely and sad on Halloween night, he takes an imaginary journey on his favorite toy, a red plane, to visit his old neighborhood and friends. The tricks, treats and surprises will delight young and old, and the lessons about friendship will have audiences leaving the theater smiling. Captain Louie will run 1 p.m., March 13-14 and 20-21 and 4 p.m. March 14, 20-21 in the J Building Lecture Hall at CCBC Essex, 7201 Rossville Boulevard.

Day by Ezra Jack Keats as a way to raise money for victims of the Haiti
earthquake. The Snowy Day-A Benefit: Stages Theatre Company's Youth
Artists' for Haiti is a collaboration effort organized by cast members
