Attic Theater to Present Preston Sturges' STRICTLY DISHONORABLE at The Flea, 7/22-8/10

The Attic Theater Company presents Preston Sturges' classic screwball comedy STRICTLY DISHONORABLE at The Flea Theater (41 White Street, Tribeca). Directed by Laura Braza, STRICTLY DISHONORABLE will be performed Tuesday, July 22nd through Sunday, August 10th, 2014. The Press Opening is Saturday, July 26th at 7pm. Garibaldi-Meucci Museum Celebrates Ezio Pinza's Life Today

Today, November 17 at 2 p.m., Nick Dowen will present an hour-long program on the life of opera great Ezio Pinza. Dowen, who has been collecting records since he was 13 years old, will share some of his thousands of recordings in a powerpoint presentation about the life of one of the most prolific singers in the history of music. A bass with a rich, smooth and sonorous voice, Pinza spent 22 seasons at New York's Metropolitan Opera, appearing in more than 750 performances of 50 operas. A popular recording star, Pinza went on to appear on Broadway, in Hollywood movies, and on television in his own series and daytime variety shows that were popular in the 1950s.

Director & Producer, Manny Fox Passes Away

According to published reports, famed producer and director, Manny Fox, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, due to complications deriving from a heart condition. He was 77 years old, currently residing in Pheonix, Arizona, and leaves behind four sons and three grandchildren.

Tenor Anthony Kearns, kicked off his Spring Tour on March 2, 2012 at Kansas City Union Station's Grand Opening Gala and a special performance at the VooDoo Lounge (North Kansas City) on March 3. He wrapped up his multi-city solo tour on March 27 at the JFK Presidential Library in Boston, MA.
