BWW Reviews: Schmeater's TWILIGHT ZONE: LIVE! – Both Hilarious and Touching

Theater Schmeater may have moved to new digs but they still know what we all love and that's their long running series of "The Twilight Zone: Live!" And not only are they still bringing the thrills, suspense, and laughs but even some very touching and sigh-able moments with a holiday flair. I don't think I've ever seen a "Zone" that I didn't like and these are no exceptions. In fact, this could be one of the best.

Seattle Public Theater to Present Tom Stoppard's ARCADIA, 5/15-6/8

Seattle Public Theater (SPT) at the Bathhouse on Green Lake is proud to present Tom Stoppard's Arcadia, directed by SPT Artistic Associate, Kelly Kitchens (SPT's The Understudy, The Santaland Diaries, and Book-It Repertory Theatre's She's Come Undone). Arcadia previews May 15th, and opens May 16th to June 8th, 2014.

BWW Reviews: Clever and Funny Dialog in Book-It's FINANCIAL LIVES OF THE POETS

Displaying an all too familiar circumstance Book-It Repertory Theatre is currently presenting their production of Jess Walter's book, 'The Financial Lives of the Poets', in which our hero must survive the pressures of our crumbling economy any way he can. And while the base story may not be the freshest, what it does have going for it is crisp, engaging and very funny dialog infused in a very clever story structure with a relatable protagonist at its core which amounts for a thoroughly enjoyable show.

BWW Reviews: HENRY V from the Seattle Shakespeare Company

Finishing up their 19th season, the Seattle Shakespeare Company is presenting one of William Shakespeare's most beloved histories (at least it's one of my personal favorites), "Henry V". But this time they have traded in their tunics and swords for uniforms and guns by transplanting it to 1962. And while the show is a solid one I question the decision to retell it in this era.
