Eclipses Group Theater New York proudly presents the world premiere of Hercules: In Search of a Hero, conceived and directed by Ioanna Katsarou, translated by Demetri Bonaros, with original compositions by Costas Baltazanis. Hercules: In Search of a Hero will be performed at the Abrons Arts Center as part of the @Abrons Series program, from January 24 - February 10, 2019 in a limited engagement. The Abrons Arts Center is located at 466 Grand Street (at Pitt Street) in New York City. Previews begin January 24 for a January 26 opening.

Following the Dora-Nominated hit BLACK BOYS, SAGA COLLECTIF returns with Ho Ka Kei (Jeff Ho)'s IPHIGENIA AND THE FURIES (ON TAURIAN LAND), a vital new adaptation of the rarely performed IPHIGENIA AMONG THE TAURIANS by Euripides. The World Premiere production will be presented from January 6 to January 20, 2019 at Aki Studio (Opening Night January 10).

The New York based Kairos Italy Theater and the Italy-based KIT Italia will present the seventh annual In Scena! Italian Theater Festival NY, a festival of Italian theater taking place in all five boroughs of NYC, April 29-May 13, 2019. Participating venues will include Cherry Lane Theatre, Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimo' at NYU, Bernie Wohl Center, Italian Cultural Institute, The Brick, BAAD!, College of Staten Island, and other venues to be announced. All shows will be presented in Italian with English supertitles. In Scena! will also present the 6th edition of the Mario Fratti Award which is given annually to an unproduced Italian play. Additional events and performance schedules, including a series of events celebrating the 50th anniversary of Stonewall, will be announced in 2019. The Celebrity Series of Boston announces the line-up for its 5th annual Stave Sessions, the unique music series showcasing the innovative, the experimental, and the collaborative approaches of emerging artists. The 2019 Stave Sessions take place March 19-23, 2019.  

The University of SC Department of Theatre and Dance will present the haunting drama By the Bog of Cats, by leading Irish playwright Marina Carr, December 1-4 at the Lab Theatre.  

Anne Washburn (The Twilight Zone, Mr Burns) returns to the Almeida with a sinister and sensational new play, directed by Almeida Artistic Director Rupert Goold.

We live in an age where our leaders convince people that made-up things are really true. That's what witches do.  So the Witches are the preoccupation of First Maria Ensemble's upcoming production of 'Macbeth,' directed by Celeste Moratti, to be presented December 6 to 21 at Teatro Circulo, 64 East 4th Street.  The company made an auspicious debut in 2016 with 'Hamlet,' which Theater Pizazz (JK Clarke) called one of the season's best small-company productions of Shakespeare plays and Front Row Center (Holli Harms) added, 'Here is hoping that Celeste Moratti continues on this trajectory of directorial discoveries.' 

The new play BEDAGGERED by Lynn Clay Byrne (The Sextant) will have industry readings on Friday, November 16th at 11:00AM and 3:00PM at Ripley Grier Studios.

American Son, playing a limited engagement at the Booth Theatre on Broadway (222 West 45th Street), opens officially tonight, November 4, 2018.

Coeurage Theatre Company, LA's Pay What You Want theatre company, has announced the final production of its ninth season, Vendetta Chrome by Sylvan Oswald, directed by Sara Lyons. There will be one preview performance on Friday, November 23, at 8pm and opening is set for Saturday, November 24, at 8pm. Vendetta Chrome will play through December 15 at the Lex Theatre in Hollywood.

In the Family LLC is proud to present the US theatrical release of A BREAD FACTORY (Part One & Part Two), an ambitious project comprising two feature films written and directed by Patrick Wang. Starring Tyne Daly and Elisabeth Henry as a couple who are fighting to keep their local arts center open, the film will open at Village East Cinema in New York and at the Laemmle Monica Film Center in Los Angeles on October 26.

The Tank (Meghan Finn and Rosalind Grush, Artistic Directors) in association with Anna & Kitty, Inc. will present the World Premiere of The Russian & The Jew, a political fairy tale about anti-semitism and female friendship in the Soviet Union in 1968, co-written by Liba Vaynberg and Emily Louise Perkins and directed by Ines Braun at The Tank (312 West 36th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues), December 4-20.

Jersey City Theater Center (JCTC) presents Trojan Women, a multimedia and multilingual adaptation of the classic Greek tragedy reimagined for today's turbulent times. Trojan Women opens Friday November 2nd for an 11-show run that closes on Sunday November 18 at Merseles Studios, 339 Newark Avenue, Jersey City.

The Barbican today announces its full January to June 2019 Theatre and Dance programme. Tickets for the season go on sale to Barbican Members Plus on Wednesday 17 October, to Barbican Members on Friday 19 October and on general sale on Friday 26 October 2018.

Under the direction of Yury Urnov, The Wilma Theater's HotHouse Company tackles Anne Washburn's wickedly smart dark comedy that charts life after lights, October 23 through November 11.

Dixon Place presents a reading of Helen a New Musical, with music, book, and lyrics by Joe Maloney (The Boy in the Bathroom), on Saturday, October 6th. The reading will be directed by Rachel Klein (Off-Broadway: Red Roses, Green Gold; Around the World in 80 Days) with music direction by Luke Williams (Monsoon Wedding at Berkeley Rep; Grease das Musical German Internat'l tour.)
