The Magdalene, a musical play about Mary Magdalene, closed July 13 after 15 previews and 17 performances. The production, opened off-Broadway at St. Clement's Theatre on Tuesday, June 28.

Last night, June 27, the off-broadway theater scene became a bit richer with the advent of The Magdalene, a musical play about Mary Magdalene composed by James Olm with a book by Mr. Olm and J.C. Hanley. Tony Award winner Richard Maltby, Jr. served as the Creative Consultant on the production, which was directed by Richard Burk. Previews began on June 14. Grammy Award winner Bruce Hornsby musical, entitled SCKBSTD features Tony nominee Robert Cuccioli and is directed by Tony winner John Rando. The production will close February 6, 2011. Joining Cuccioli in SCKBSTD are Kevin Mambo, Jill Paice, William Parry, Marcus Lovett, Jayne Paterson, Brynn Williams, Riley Costello, Garrett Long, Rosa Curry, Karl Warden, EuGene Barry-Hill, and Ken Cavett.
