?Due to popular demand, A Red Orchid Theatre has extended its critically-acclaimed production of Tennessee Williams' The Mutilated, directed by Ensemble Member Dado. The Mutilated will now run through March 13, 2016. The Mutilated features Ensemble Members Lance Baker, Jennifer Engstrom, Mierka Girten, Steve Haggard, Shade Murray, Doug Vickers and Natalie West with Ciera Dawn, Jennifer Glasse, Roy Gonzalez, Mario Hernandez, Morgan Maher, Lauren Vogel and Dominque Worsley. A Red Orchid Theatre is located at 1531 N Wells.

The Public Theater announced the 10 new playwrights today for the 2016-17 Emerging Writers Group. Now in its sixth cycle, the Emerging Writers Group is an ongoing initiative that targets playwrights at the earliest stages in their career, creating an artistic home, and offering support and resources for a diverse group of up-and-coming playwrights.

THE MEETING* hosted by Justin Sayre, the acclaimed comedy/variety show, will return to Joe's Pub at The Public to launch the Winter/Spring 2016 season on Sunday, January 24 at 9:30 PM. This season will include tributes to Eartha Kitt (January 24 at 9:30 PM), the musical Cabaret (February 21 at 9:30 PM), Elton John (March 20 at 9:30 PM), Barbra Streisand (April 17 at 9:30 PM) and George Michael (May 22 at 7:00 PM). Mx Bond will perform two shows from v's repertoire - LOVE IS CRAZY! for some pure Valentine's Day fun, Sunday-Tuesday, February 14-16 at 9:00PM, and MX AMERICA, v's singular take on the beauty pageant, Saturday and Sunday, March 12 and 13 at 9:00PM.
