Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center announced today that the eighth annual edition of BROADWAY BACKWARDS will feature Academy Award winner and four-time Tony nominee Estelle Parsons (Nice Work If You Can Get It), two-time Tony Award winner Judy Kaye (Nice Work If You Can Get It) and two-time Emmy Award-winning comedian Bruce Vilanch.

The Oscar-winning and Tony-nominated actress Estelle Parsons will be honored at La Mama's annual benefit fundraiser, along with longtime La MaMa board member Peter Swords on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the Ellen Stewart Theatre (66 E. 4 St.), it has been announced by Mia Yoo, Artistic Director of La MaMa, and Frank Carucci, President of the theatre's Board of Directors.

With humor and vision, 'Kane and Habil in the Pizza Parlor' (http://kaneandhabil.com) explores the original family sins that are still impacting our civilization. The title characters are the children of Adam and Eve. The play is a comedy, written and directed by Serge Ernandez. The production features an adept cast headed by Obie-winner Sheila Dabney as Eve, who also directs the play's chorus. Ernandez is a veteran of The Living Theatre; Dabney is a senior member of La MaMa's Great Jones Rep. La Mama E.T.C. will present the play's premiere run tonight, January 18 to 27 in its second-floor Club.

'Off the King's Road' is the first full-length theater production in New York for emerging playwright Neil Koenigsberg, who is well-known in the Hollywood community as a veteran publicist, producer and personal talent manager.

Emmy and Tony Award winner Blythe Danner has joined the cast of Nice Work If You Can Get It for 12 weeks only, continuing through March 10th. Ms. Danner assumes the role of Millicent Winter, the mother of Matthew Broderick's character Jimmy Winter. On Thursday, December 13, the 199 seat proscenium theater on the fourth floor of the Snapple Theater Center was named in honor of Broadway, off-Broadway and film producer, Anne L. Bernstein. Scroll below for photos from the dedication ceremony.

Wendy Kaplan, President of MadKap Productions, will present the Chicago Premiere of SIDE EFFECTS MAY INCLUDE…, written by former Seinfeld writer Marc Jaffe and Emmy nominated playwright Eric Coble, previewing January 4, opening Friday, January 11 at 8 p.m., and running through February 10, 2013 at the Greenhouse Theater Center, 2257 North Lincoln Avenue.

Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Beth Henley's 100-proof comedy THE MISS FIRECRACKER CONTEST, starring film and television actress Amber Tamblyn and directed by Tony Award winner Judith Ivey, will bow on Broadway in the spring of 2013. THE MISS FIRECRACKER CONTEST marks Ms. Tamblyn's Broadway debut and Ms. Ivey's Broadway debut as director, and is produced by HOP Theatricals. Broadway theater and dates to be announced.

America's favorite holiday tradition, the 86th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, returns to dazzle and enchant millions nationwide today, Thursday, November 22. The festivities will showcase performances from different Broadway companies.
