Manhattan Theatre Club is proud to announce extensions for both of the world premiere shows the institution is producing at New York City Center (131 West 55th Street): RUINED and HUMOR ABUSE. RUINED, the acclaimed new play by playwright Lynn Nottage with direction by Kate Whoriskey, has been extended through Sunday, May 3 at Stage I. This marks the third extension at Stage I for the Manhattan Theatre Club and Goodman Theatre critically acclaimed co-production.

Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director; Ellen Richard, Executive Director) has announced the two plays which will be presented as part of the company's seventh annual Second Stage Theatre Uptown Series this summer: Zakiyyah Alexander's 10 Things To Do Before I Die, directed by Jackson Gay, and Lila Rose Kaplan's Wildflower, directed by 2008 Callaway Award winner Giovanna Sardelli.

Beginning previews Monday, July 14 at Second Stage Theatre's uptown home, the McGinn/Cazale Theatre on Broadway at 76th Street, Animals Out of Paper will feature Utkarsh Ambudkar, Kellie Overbey, and Jeremy Shamos.

The Japanese premiere of RUDOLF: THE LAST KISS, a musical composed by Frank Wildhorn, written by Jack Murphy, directed by Amon Miyamoto and produced by Toho. Co., Ltd. opened to an enthusiastic audience at the prestigious Imperial Theatre on Wednesday, May 6 in Tokyo.

The Play Company hosts its fifth annual Cabaret Gourmet gala on Monday, April 28 at The Metropolitan Pavilion. This year honoring the renowned editor and author Judith Jones, Cabaret Gourmet is a theatrical celebration of food, glorious food and a tribute to the shared spirit of the culinary and theater arts.

The Play Company kicks off its 2007-2008 season with the American premiere of Bad Jazz by Robert Farquhar. Directed by Trip Cullman, Bad Jazz will play a limited Off-Broadway run from Sunday, November 4 - Sunday, November 25 at the Ohio Theatre (66 Wooster Street). Official opening is set for Sunday, November 11 at 7PM.

The Play Company presents a special evening with Board Member Susan Stroman and a benefit performance of Broadway's Young Frankenstein on Tuesday, October 23.
