The Los Angeles Philharmonic announces its 98th summer season at the Hollywood Bowl. The Hollywood Bowl summer season features world-class artists ranging from classical and pops to jazz, rock, and world music including the world premiere of two new LA Phil-commissioned works plus a fully-staged Broadway musical.

The Tony Award-winning Best Musical Monty Python's SPAMALOT will take stage at the Washington Pavilion with three performances February 26-28, 2019. SPAMALOT is part of the 2018-19 Pavilion Performance Series which includes an all-Broadway lineup of six musicals.

The one-and-only Isaac Mizrahi - celebrated fashion icon, singer, raconteur - will bring his singular talent, humor and charm to the McCarter Theater Center stage (91 University Place, Princeton, NJ) for one-night-only on Friday, March 1st as he kicks off a national tour with a brand new show, I&ME, in conjunction with the release of his memoir I.M., to be published by Flatiron Books on February 26, it has been announced by the tour's producer Arnold Engelman.

Eddie Izzard announces U.S. tour dates for his Eddie Izzard: Wunderbar international tour, opening May 8 in Nashville with his final U.S. performance on July 13 in Seattle. Honoring one of the world's most revered artists, The Music Center celebrated Joni Mitchell on November 6 and 7, 2018, with two all-star concerts - JONI 75: A Birthday Celebration Live at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion - and an exclusive gala, co-hosted with Vanity Fair and its editor Radhika Jones, which feted her 75th birthday and raised funds for The Music Center's artistic programming, specifically free and low cost programming for underserved communities. The concerts featured performances by Brandi Carlile; Glen Hansard; Emmylou Harris; Norah Jones; Chaka Khan; Diana Krall; Kris Kristofferson; Los Lobos with La Marisoul, Cesar Castro & Xochi Flores; Graham Nash; Seal; James Taylor; and Rufus Wainwright. The artists lit up the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion stage performing Mitchell's songs, which spanned all stages of her career. Co-musical directors Brain Blade and Jon Cowherd provided the evenings' musical arrangements.

I don't like Spam. To me, it's mystery meat and I don't like the taste. I looked it up on the internet to see what it is made from. It was introduced by Hormel in 1937 to increase the sale of pork shoulder. Few know the true origination of the name 'Spam,' but suggestions include 'Specially Processed Army Meat.' My favorite more colorful descriptions are 'meatloaf without basic training' and 'ham that didn't pass its physical.' Spam has recently been adopted as the term for inappropriate or irrelevant messages that flood our inboxes. This all fits.

Back by popular demand, the Tony Award-winning Best Musical Monty Python's Spamalot, returns to The Playhouse on Rodney Square in Wilmington for six performances, October 25-28, 2018. The show opens the 2018-19 Broadway in Wilmington season, presented by Bank of America.
