Ann Hampton Callaway, Hilary Kole and More to Take Part in HIDDEN TREASURES Benefit, 11/5

On November 5th at 7 pm, the Theatre at Saint Peters (Home of the York Theatre) Lexington Avenue at 54th Street will resound with the songs of Larry Kerchner ("Somewhere in Time") sung by some of today's most formidable singers: Headliner: Ann Hampton Callaway, Hilary Kole, Laurel Masse, Kevin Spirtas, Stacy Sullivan, Jeff Harnar, Eric Comstock & Barbara Fasano, Karen Oberlin, La Tanya Hall, Sidney Myer, Raissa Katona Bennett, Jill O'Hara and a host of others. Musical Director is Tex Arnold. The event is produced by Sandi Durell.

The popular pop-jazz duo Eric Comstock and Barbara Fasano return to the Metropolitan Room, 34 West 22nd Street, to premiere "The Night Has a Thousand Eyes" for a one-week major engagement running through Saturday October 20. The newly minted evening features a treasure chest of assorted jazz and pop gems that the husband and wife tandem pull out by the handful -- songs from the Duke Ellington, Jerome Kern, Cole Porter, Joni Mitchell, Stephen Sondheim and Tom Waits. Singer-actress- cabaret performer Shana Farr will receive the 2012 Julie Wilson Award, presented annually by the Mabel Mercer Foundation 'to a cabaret singer who is a rising star,' at the 23rd New York Cabaret Convention at the Rose Theater, Jazz At Lincoln Center, today, October 17, at 6 PM, the Opening Night of the Mabel Mercer Cabaret Convention, hosted by KT Sullivan, Artistic Director of the Mabel Mercer Foundation.

This 90-minute program was held in memory of the legendary cabaret venue, featuring nearly a dozen A-list performers whose careers were closely associated with the nightclub in the Algonquin Hotel.

STAR QUALITY: THE WORLD OF NOËL COWARD Exhibition Announces Events Leading to Aug 18 Closing

The smash-hit exhibition Star Quality: The World of Noël Coward will close on August 18 after a five-month, twice-extended run. The show focuses on Coward as playwright, composer, director, stage, screen, cabaret performer, and international celebrity, and represents the most comprehensive exhibition on Noël Coward ever assembled, including unique material from the collections of The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. Since it opened on March 11, 2012, the Exhibition has attracted over 17,000 visitors.

'ENGLAND SWINGS: Noël Coward in Jazz' Comes to Dizzy's Club Tonight, 6/18

NEA Jazz Master Annie Ross and jazz vocal legend Andy Bey, plus other stars of the jazz and nightclub worlds, gather to salute the music of 20th-century genius Noel Coward in "ENGLAND SWINGS: Noel Coward in Jazz" at Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola for two performances tonight, June 18th. Shows are at 7:30pm and 9:30pm. There is a $25 cover and $10 minimum at tables, and a $5 cover at the bar. Food is available. Dizzy's is part of Jazz at Lincoln Center, and is located in the Time-Warner Center at 60th St. and Broadway. Reservations can be made at www.jalc.org or at 212.258.9595.
