Alarm Will Sound today announces the release of its latest album The Hunger, out Friday, August 23, 2019 on Nonesuch Records. The Hunger is a riveting modern cantata by renowned contemporary composer Donnacha Dennehy rooted in the emotional, political, and socioeconomic devastation of Ireland's Great Famine (1845-52) and features performances by Alarm Will Sound, soprano Katherine Manley, and sean nós singer Iarla Ó Lionáird.

One of the most celebrated musicals of all time, Once will embark on its first major UK tour from January 2020, making its Brighton premiere at Theatre Royal Brighton from Monday 20 - Sat 25 April.

Manoa Valley Theatre kicks off its 51st season Anniversary with a play season that blends exciting Hawaii premieres with Hawaii favorites. The lineup features comedy, musical comedy, drama, mystery and a local-kine Hawaii favorite. It will be an innovative season that promises some of Hawaii's most exciting productions for 2019-20.

San Francisco's 42nd Street Moon presents the Bay Area regional premiere of 2012's Tony Award-winning 'Best Musical' ONCE. Based on the 2007 motion picture written and directed by John Carney, ONCE features a book by Enda Walsh (2012 Tony Award-winner, 'Best Book of a Musical') and a score by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova (including the 2008 Academy Award-winning song 'Falling Slowly'). 42nd Street Moon's production of ONCE runs from June 12 - 30, 2019 and will perform at San Francisco's Gateway Theatre (215 Jackson St, San Francisco, CA 94111). The American Theatre Wing and The Village Voice announce that Artistic Director of New York Theatre Workshop, James C. Nicola, and Artistic Director and founder of Theatre For A New Audience, Jeffrey Horowitz, will receive special Obie Awards for Lifetime Achievement at the 64th Annual Obie Awards, which will be held on Monday, May 20, 2019 at Terminal 5 (610 West 56th Street).

New York Theatre Workshop has announced three productions for its 2019/20 Season.

The Barbican Centre's Silk Street Theatre has been transformed to host Enda Walsh's third piece in his programme. The stage becomes a dark universe where five huge white cubes hold different rooms. By stepping into them, the audience is transported in perfectly curated personal spaces.
