Not even the Great White Way was immune to the wrath of Hurrican Sandy and her aftermath. Tony nominee Elizabeth A. Davis, who currently stars in ONCE, recently wrote about what returning to the stage was like from her perspective. Her full blog entry is as follows:

Mies Julie was the hands-down, must-see hit and Carol Tambor Best of Edinburgh Award-winner at this year's Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Building upon a rich history of importing standout Edinburgh productions and major international companies to America in recent years, St. Ann's Warehouse (Artistic Director, Susan Feldman; Executive Director, Andrew D. Hamingson) will present this American Premiere (and the Baxter Theatre Centre's American debut), which adapts the August Strindberg classic to post-apartheid South Africa. Performances will take place tonight, November 8 - December 2, marking the official opening of the new St. Ann's Warehouse at 29 Jay Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn.

Receiving honors two years in a row with a BEST PRODUCTION Award, most recently from Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle, LA Weekly, Ovation, and Garland Awards for Small Engine Repair, Rogue Machine's 2012 will now include this presentation of John DiFusco's The Long Way Home - Reflections on the Tracers Journey.

The producers of Broadway's ONCE are seeking one five to seven year old girl to play IVANKA, the sweet natured daughter of GIRL. Actresses should be comfortable on stage and have the ability to sing. Prior to its West End opening Once will run at the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin from 22 February - 9 March 2013.

Last season it was their 2011 BEST PRODUCTION (Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle, LA Weekly, Ovation, and Garland Awards) Small Engine Repair which started out in the "Off The Clock" series. Now, in the tradition of offering 'edgier' entertainment in this slot, Rogue Machine launches the World Premiere of Rob Mersola's Dirty Filthy Love Story tonight, October 6th at 10:30pm.

Over 20 years in the making, singer songwriter Glen Hansard released his first ever solo album, Rhythm and Repose, on Anti- Records on June 19. Best known for his work with The Frames, The Swell Season and in the feature film Once, for which he won an Academy Award, Rhythm and Repose is Hansard's debut solo album and first album of new material since his 2009 release Strict Joy with The Swell Season. The Actors Fund today that ONCE will perform a benefit performance tonight, September 30 at 7pm.

Tony nominated Winnie Holzman, Craig Pospisil, Robert and Elizabeth Barrett Browning (an inspiration to Edgar Allan Poe and Emily Dickinson, How Do I Love Thee?), and some of today's most recognizable actors are making sure that LOVE will bring us together for a "not to be missed" event at one of LA's hottest theatre company's, Rogue Machine (BEST PRODUCTION-two years in a row).

First off let me say that the language in this is difficult at best to get through. And no, I don't mean coarse language (although there's plenty of that too) but the Irish accents and regional terms. Fortunately Sound Theatre Company's current production of "Disco Pigs" is being performed by two gifted actors who manage to wade through the accents and come out the other side with an engaging tale.

playwright Henry Murray is ready for THREE VIEWS OF THE SAME OBJECT to have its close-up at Rogue Machine. This will be a World Co-Premiere in Los Angeles. THREE VIEWS OF THE SAME OBJECT runs Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 PM, Sundays at 3:00 PM through October 28, 2012.

According to the Daily Mail, the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Once has found a London home at the Phoenix Theatre and is set to begin performances in March 2013.
