The SpongeBob Musical has announced additional casting for the Chicago engagement. Joining the cast are Gavin Lee as Squidward, Nick Blaemire as Plankton, Danny Skinner as Patrick, and additional ensemble members will include Juliane Godfrey, Jesse JP Johnson, Lauralyn McClelland and Allan K. Washington.

The cast will also feature Gaelen Gilliland, Curtis Holbrook, Stephanie Hsu, L'ogan J'ones, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Mark Ledbetter, Kelvin Moon Loh, Vasthy Mompoint, JC Schuster, Abby C. Smith, Jason Michael Snow. The SpongeBob Musical will begin performances on Tuesday, June 7th at Broadway in Chicago's Oriental Theatre (24 West Randolph Street, Chicago, IL). Lin Manuel Miranda took to Twitter today to reveal the news that The Roots' Questlove and Black Thought will be executive producing the Hamilton cast album, due out in September.

Lin-Manuel Miranda's latest musical Hamilton has recently moved into the Richard Rodgers theatre in anticipation of a July 13 opening, and tech rehearsals just kicked off last week. Today, the creator/star posted a backstage photo featuring he and IN THE HEIGHTS' Robin De Jesus enjoying a cup of joe (and listening to some jams?), along with the caption, 'Something weird is happening.
