The Guthrie Theater held a cocktail party in New York City this week to celebrate Joe Dowling and his final season at the theater. He leaves in June 2015 after 20 years and as the longest Artistic Director in the theater's history. The party was held at the home of Frank and Frances Wilkinson, board members of the Guthrie Theater. BroadwayWorld has photos from the festivities below!

For the first time, the OPC Summer New Works Festival will take place over two weekends from today, August 2 through 10, 2014 in Ojai, California.

While construction continues and St. Ann's works to raise the final $2 million of its $30 million capital campaign, the organization will present a stellar final season in its temporary home at 29 Jay Street in DUMBO. It kicks off this October when TR Warszawa and director Grzegorz Jarzyna return for the American Premiere of their internationally acclaimed production of Sarah Kane's 4:48 Psychosis, which St. Ann's Founder / Artistic Director Susan Feldman has wanted to bring to New York since she first saw it in February 2004 -- the same year St. Ann's presented the American Premiere of the original Royal Court production of Kane's play. St. Ann's Warehouse also announced the following season highlights today: Emma Rice and Kneehigh, The Wooster Group, the Slovenian choral group Carmina Slovenica, and The Tiger Lillies.

The Puppet Lab, which celebrates its 16th anniversary this year, is St. Ann's Warehouse'sexperimental haven for artists developing interdisciplinary projects for puppet and object theater. Under the direction of Lab Co-Directors Matthew Acheson and Krissy Smith, participating artists and their collaborators have met weekly over several months to develop projects, share puppetry elements and other design and technical ideas, discuss plot structure and character development, and work on narrative. They will present their works-in-progress in the annual Labapalooza! festival, which will run today, May 29 - June 1 at St. Ann's Warehouse (29 Jay Street, Brooklyn).

The Southwestern debut of Britain's innovative and exciting theatre company Kneehigh follows, with an inventive and imaginative production of Tristan & Yseult, based on the Arthurian romance. Resident Actor Jeffrey Bean returns to a favorite role in the riotous tour de force The Foreigner.

South Coast Repertory's 2014-15 season moves from the Mediterranean island in Shakespeare's The Tempest to Cornwall in a new take on the classic Tristan & Yseult, from Mecca in Zealot by Theresa Rebeck to an updated look at the Land of Oz in OZ 2.5 by Catherine Trieschmann. SCR will present classic, contemporary and new works, including Mr. Wolf by Rajiv Joseph, Of Good Stock by Melissa Ross and Peter and the Starcatcher by Rick Elice. piece by piece productions and Rising Phoenix Repertory in association with Rattlestick Playwrights Theater will present the world premiere of A Fable, written by David Van Asselt and directed by Daniel Talbott, beginning tonight, May 3 at 7pm at the Cherry Lane Theatre, 38 Commerce Street. The opening night is set for Thursday, May 22 at 7pm. A Fable is scheduled to run through Sunday, June 28.

Today, Berkeley Repertory Theatre is proud to announce that it has completed its 2014-15 subscription programming with the addition of X's and O's (A Gridiron Love Story) written by KJ Sanchez. Memory, myth, and football meet head on in this hard-hitting world premiere directed by Michael Leibert Artistic Director Tony Taccone. Working with collaborator Jenny Mercein, Sanchez delivers a gripping docudrama dramatically based on brutally honest and heartrending interviews with football players, their families, and their fans about traumatic brain injuries and their impact on the game. The play takes an unflinching look at the lives and loves around this singularly American sport - and the lingering questions it asks of us all. This dynamic world premiere is commissioned by Berkeley Rep and developed through The Ground Floor: Berkeley Rep's Center for the Creation and Development of New Work. It begins previews on Berkeley Rep's intimate Thrust Stage on Friday, January 16, 2015, opens Friday, January 23, 2015, and runs through Sunday, March 1, 2015.

Oedipussy is adapted by Emma Rice and written by Carl Grose and Spymokey. This fusion of James Bond and Greek tragedy begins previews tonight, April 24, opens Friday, May 2 at 8 p.m, and closes Saturday, May 24.

Guthrie Director Joe Dowling today announced ten mainstage productions in his final season at the helm of the world renowned theater, culminating 20 years of remarkable leadership. The 2014-2015 lineup includes first-time Guthrie productions of plays by A.R. Gurney, Anne Washburn and Sarah Ruhl, three productions directed by Dowling, including a beloved Shakespeare comedy and iconic masterpieces by Arthur Miller and Sean O'Casey, the Guthrie debut of visionary writer and director Mary Zimmerman, as well as an all-American musical slated for summer.
