The brand-new production of the much-loved glittering hit musical Priscilla, Queen of the Desert the Musical will extend its UK tour dates through to 2020. The show, which was announced last year, and will star Strictly Come Dancing winner Joe McFadden, will tour the UK and Ireland from September 2019. It marks Donovan's first time as a producer, having performed in the cast of the original West End production and two subsequent UK tours. The producing team is completed by Gavin Kalin and Matthew Gale. Priscilla, Queen of the Desert the Musical will preview in Dartford from 5 September 2019.

Due to a phenomenal critical and public reaction during the opening weeks of the extensive UK Tour, Natasha Hamilton will extend her performance dates in Kay Mellor's Fat Friends the Musical. Natasha Hamilton will star as Julia Fleshman during the productions upcoming run at the Edinburgh Playhouse from 19 until 22 April.

Joining the previously announced cast, Kevin Kennedy (Coronation Street) stars as Fergus and Rachael Wooding (We Will Rock You) appears as Joanne, alongside Jonathan Halliwell (Let It Shine) as Paul and Chloe Hart (Hairspray) as Val. Alan will be played by Neil Hurst, one of dozens of Yorkshiremen who applied for the role through an open audition call.

On Sunday 6 April, the global smash hit musical MAMMA MIA! will celebrate its 15th birthday in London. Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus, who have rarely performed together since ABBA disbanded in 1982, will join the cast of MAMMA MIA! in a musical finale at this year's Olivier Awards as part of the birthday celebrations. This historic performance will be televised for the ITV highlights show, which will be broadcast at 22:15 on Sunday 13 April. MAMMA MIA! has also extended its booking period to 25 April 2015.

West End's MAMMA MIA! Announces New 'Early Bird Pricing' Program

The global smash hit musical MAMMA MIA! at London's Novello Theatre has announced a new ticketing scheme to reward early bookers as the show prepares for its 15th birthday celebrations in London in April 2014. The Early Bird pricing will take effect immediately on tickets purchased for Monday to Thursday performances on or after Monday 24 February 2014. Anyone booking four months or more in advance of the performance they are attending will be able to purchase top price tickets for £44, a saving of £20 on the regular top price. However, customers can only book through Delfont Mackintosh Theatres, either online, in person at the theatre, or by calling the Novello Theatre box office.

The annual London theatre initiative Kids Week was launched today with a special performance at Shakespeare's Globe from a 100-strong children's show choir supported by cast members from top West End shows. The choir was made up of ordinary children crowdsourced especially for the free event led by music theatre company Starling Arts.
