Kansas City Repertory Theatre's Artistic Director, Eric Rosen, today announced the cast for SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET which closes the 2017/2018 mainstage season at KCRep. The MTH Theater at Crown Center has announced casting for its next Musical Monday and Tuesday, scheduled April 16 and 17 at Crown Center. The performance will feature the music of motion, from Broadway and beyond. Tunes from Broadway musicals like THE WIZ, DREAMGIRLS, and MOTOWN THE MUSICAL will be accompanied by songs made famous by Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Diana Ross and others. The ensemble features Asa Barnes, Lexi Brie, Shon Ruffin, Anthony Saunders, Emily Shackelford, and Shelby Winfrey. The show will be hosted by Ron Lackey, founder of Kansas City's popular Motown/Funk band 2Proud 2Beg.

Evita begins Sept. 9 and runs through Oct. 2, at KC Rep's mainstage Spencer Theatre, located on the UMKC campus. 'This production is about framing the conversation during this election year about who we are and what are we becoming,' says Rosen.
