Reimagined CATS Comes To MTH Theater at Crown Center

The MTH Theater at Crown Center has announced casting for its Summer production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's mega-hit musical CATS.

The cast is led by Elizabeth Reece in the role of Grizzabella and Ron Lackey assuming the role of the tribal patriarch Old Deuteronomy. Rounding out the remaining ensemble are Taylor Avazpour, Joey Boos, Darrington Clark, Anthony Gasbarre, Kayli Jamison, Bob Kohler, Elise Poehling, Austin Ragusin, Morgan Lynn Sterrett, Emily Shackelford, and Morgan Walker.

The production is directed by MTH Associate Producer Tim Scott with Music Direction by MTH Resident Music Director Jeremy Watson and original choreography by Kenny Personett. The production features a scenic design by Rafael Toribio, lighting design by Jamie Leonard, and costume design by Georgianna Londre Buchanan.

"We have some exciting ideas for CATS. Our theater is an intimate space with only seven rows for seating; it demands innovation and imagination when presenting large-scale musicals. We're looking forward to seeing the audience reaction to this outstanding score produced from a reimagined point of view that highlights the talents of our incredibly creative team of Artists," said Scott.

CATS plays The MTH Theater at Crown Center from June 7 - 24.

Tickets are available by calling the MTH Box Office at 816.221.6987 or by visiting www.mthkc.com.
