MOTOWN Comes To Musical Monday/Tuesday

The MTH Theater at Crown Center has announced casting for its next Musical Monday and Tuesday, scheduled April 16 and 17 at Crown Center. The performance will feature the music of motion, from Broadway and beyond. Tunes from Broadway musicals like THE WIZ, DREAMGIRLS, and MOTOWN THE MUSICAL will be accompanied by songs made famous by Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Diana Ross and others. The ensemble features Asa Barnes, Lexi Brie, Shon Ruffin, Anthony Saunders, Emily Shackelford, and Shelby Winfrey. The show will be hosted by Ron Lackey, founder of Kansas City's popular Motown/Funk band 2Proud 2Beg.

2Proud 2Beg will also be the house band for Musical Monday and Tuesday, with MTH resident music director Jeremy Watson sitting in on keys.

2Proud 2Beg is Kansas City's hottest cover band for the authentic Motown Sound. They're a high energy party band that plays soul music from the past as well as today's chart toppers, and Musical Monday and Tuesday will feature plenty of both!

Performances for Musical Monday and Tuesday are April 16 and 17 at 7:30pm at The MTH Theater at Crown Center.

Tickets are available by calling the MTH Box Office at 816.221.6987 or by visiting www.mthkc.com.
