Rose Theatre Kingston announces its Christmas show, Alice in Winterland, based on Lewis Carroll's timeless books Alice Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. Following the success of last year's enchanting adaptation of The Wind in the Willows and 2015's festive hit A Christmas Carol, Ciaran McConville returns to direct a cast of local young actors from the Rose Youth Theatre led by a team of professional actors including Daniel Goode (Father/Mad Hatter), Amanda Gordon (Cheshire Cat/Mother), Jonathan Andrew Hume (Blue Caterpillar/Knave), Tony Timberlake (White Knight/Isumbras) and Susannah van den Berg (Aunt Margaret/Queen of Hearts). The production opens on the Friday 15 December, with previews from Thursday 7 December, and runs until Sunday 7 January.

Rehearsal images are released today for the Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company's THE ENTERTAINER, the final production in the year-long Plays at the Garrick season. The production will play at the Garrick from 20 August until 12 November, with press night on 30 August. The Entertainer will also be broadcast live to cinemas across the UK and internationally on 27 October.

Young People's Theatre (YPT) has been overwhelmed by public response to the musical, Jacob Two-Two Meets the Hooded Fang, announcing today the run would be extended due to demand. Originally slated to run from November 16th to December 20th, the show will now run right through the holidays, to January 3rd. A signature production in YPT's history, this action-packed musical - the company's most-produced show and amongst its most beloved - will feature new music and lyrics by the talented young song-writing duo, Britta and Anika Johnson.

I am pleased to announce the nominees for the 2014 BroadwayWorld Toronto Regional Awards. The response this year from Toronto's theatre community and fans has been incredible. The BroadwayWorld Awards are an award decided by the fans - from nominations all the way to selecting the final winner.

Louise Pitre's latest accomplishment is the completion of her one-woman show 'On the Rocks- Stirred Not Shaken.' Her show is an autobiographical musical detailing her life thus far- both the ups and the downs. Pitre, with the help of W. Joseph Matheson, wrote original songs for the show. 'On the Rocks' will run from tonight, September 25-28 at Theatre Passe Murialle.

Louise PItre is one of the grand dames of Canadian musical theatre, and this fall, she's back in Toronto doing something truly brave, unique and more than a little scary. On Wednesday, her show ON THE ROCKS opens Theatre Passe Muraille's 2013-2014 season. A 90 minute emotional rollercoaster, the show features stories from Pitre's difficult life as well as original music that she wrote specifically for the production. Is she scared? Absolutely. But she's talking about it. And BWW is thrilled to bring readers this in depth interview where she talks about the reasons for doing the show, why she's ready to expose her past, and how she learned the importance of not giving a f**k what other people think of her.

This theatrical treat about a Viennese womanizer and his amorous trials and tribulations runs tonight, January 9 to February 10, 2013 in Tarragon Theatre's Mainspace (with previews beginning January 1).
