Georgia Ensemble Theatre (GET), North Fulton's only professional theatre company, continues its 24thseason and its theme of the strength of women with Having Our Say, The Delany Sisters' First 100 Years by Emily Mann. This inspirational story runs February 16th through March 5th, 2017 at the theatre's home in the Roswell Cultural Arts Center. Andrea Frye, acclaimed director and actor, will direct the production that is also part of the 2017 Roswell Roots Festival. Having Our Say is graciously sponsored by The Kimberly-Clark Corporation.

From January 13 - February 12, the celebrated New York theater company, Bedlam, makes its McCarter Theatre Center debut with their critically- acclaimed stripped down productions of William Shakespeare's Hamlet and George Bernard Shaw's Saint Joan, in rotating repertory.

Philadelphia Theatre Company kicks off the new year with the inspiring and warm-hearted Having Our Say, The Delany Sisters' First 100 Years by Emily Mann, adapted from the book by Miss Sarah ("Sadie") L. Delany and Dr. A. Elizabeth ("Bessie") Delany with Amy Hill Hearth. Running January 27-February 19 and directed by Mary B. Robinson, the cast features Perri Gaffney and Cherene Snow as the two Delany sisters.
McCarter Theatre Center Receives NEA Grant for New Play Development

McCarter Theatre Center is a recipient of an Art Works grant of $35,000 to aupport the McCarter LAB, a year-round creative incubator that provides key support to writers at all stages of their careers, cultivating meaningful artistic relationships and original works for McCarter's main stages and future co-productions. National Endowment for the Arts Chairman Jane Chu has approved more than $30 million in grants as part of the NEA's first major 2017 funding announcement.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts presents the world premiere of Bud, Not Buddy, a new play by Obie Award winner Kirsten Greenidge, adapted from Christopher Paul Curtis's acclaimed Newbury Medal-winning novel, with music by world-renowned jazz artist Terence Blanchard. This performance is most enjoyed by patrons age nine and up.
