Big Machine Records releases the soundtrack for ABC Television's new hit drama "NASHVILLE" today, 12/11. The project features new music from the cast - Connie Britton, Hayden Panettiere, Charles Esten, Jonathan Jackson, CLARE BOWEN and Sam Palladio - who perform in each episode. Over 500,000 digital downloads from the breakout series have been sold to date.

NPR Music "All Songs Considered" premieres the title track "Beta Love" from Ra Ra Riot's third album. Beta Love is set for release January 22 on Barsuk Records with pre-order starting today. The album marks the band's first outing as a four piece with members Wes Miles on vocals, Milo Bonacci on guitar, Mathieu Santos on bass and Rebecca Zeller on violin forming the core of the group. Beta Love's songs are informed by the works of cyperpunk novelist William Gibson and futurist Ray Kurzweil's musings on the technological singularity and transhumanism.

House of Blues, the country's pre-eminent live music venues are set to kick off a 20th Anniversary extravaganza to commemorate 20 years of music and over 20,000 amazing live music performances at their world-famous venues. The 20-month long celebration commences today, December 4 at its renowned Sunset Strip location featuring Rock and Roll Hall of Famers and legendary rock band ZZ Top.

Grammy-winning artist, Jim Lauderdale will appear in a special fundraising concert for Flat Rock Playhouse on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Bonclarken Conference Center in the Youth Activity Building at 7:00 pm. An Evening with Jim Lauderdale, sponsored by Howard George and Noah George of Keller Williams Realty, is part of the "Save the Playhouse" campaign.

According to the AV Club, John Mellencamp and Stephen King's musical Ghost Brothers Of Darkland County will release its official soundtrack on March 19, 2013, prior to beginning performances next year. Broadway stars Emily Padgett and Matthew Hydzik will star as "Alex" and "Nick" in the world premiere of FLASHDANCE - THE MUSICAL, the stage adaptation of the 1983 hit film that defined a generation. Padgett and Hydzik will be joined on stage by the legendary Rachelle Rak in the role of "Tess." Sergio Trujillo, director and choreographer for the production returned to the home of FLASHDANCE and launch of the world premiere, Pittsburgh's Heinz Hall, to announce the lead casting from a press conference. Mayor Luke Ravenstahl and Kevin McMahon, CEO of Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, were also on hand to welcome the cast and creative team to Pittsburgh and to make a proclamation, naming January 1, 2013 as FLASHDANCE DAY. The Paramount, located in downtown Huntington, Long Island announces the "Strong Island Hurricane Sandy Relief Concert" - a special concert event scheduled for this Thursday, November 8 at 8 pm. The show, headlined by The Script, will include other special guests, to be announced. All ticket proceeds from the event will go to benefit The Long Island Red Cross, to aid in the relief of Hurricane Sandy on Long Island.

The 2013 Lincoln Center American Songbook series has just been announced via the New York Times.

As previously reported, Hurricane Sandy has caused the closure of many events over the past days. Joe's Pub has cancelled its performances for tonight and tomorrow, featuring Ute Lemper.

The Town Hall's Eighth Annual Broadway Cabaret Festival concludes with The Best of Broadway By The Year on Friday October 26th at 8pm. The festival kicked off with Linda Eder's, Linda Eder, A New Life on Saturday October 13 and continued with Broadway Originals! on Sunday October 21st. The festival is created, written and hosted by Scott Siegel.
