D23: The Official Disney Fan Club has just announced a special theatrical performance,Broadway and Beyond. Thomas Schumacher, president and producer, Disney Theatrical Productions will host a musical journey into Disney's history on Broadway and beyond at the D23 Expo: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. The performance features an all-star line-up, including Heidi Blickenstaff (THE LITTLE MERMAID), Ashley Brown (MARY POPPINS and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST), Merle Dandridge (TARZAN and AIDA), Josh Strickland (TARZAN) and Alton Fitzgerald White (THE LION KING), who sing beloved songs from the award-winning musicals they starred in as well as classic tunes from the Disney on Broadway catalogue.

Coming up this week, 54 BELOW, the performance venue located just below the legendary Studio 54 at 254 West 54th Street, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz and beyond. 54 Below also launched its series of late night events. Joe's Pub at The Public is proud to welcome seven different artist residencies this summer including sultry pop songstress DIANE BIRCH, New Orleans piano virtuoso HENRY BUTLER, performance artist JOHN KELLY, swinging jazz band THE HOT SARDINES, airhostess/comedienne PAM ANN, and more. Like its NEW YORK VOICES commissioning program, these residencies are a central part of the venue's commitment to artist development and to providing space for new work. Playwright/Actor Lori Fischer's latest work, The Memory of Damage, will have a private industry reading today, June 7, 2013 at 3pm at The Goldberg Theatre at N.Y.U. (721 Broadway, 7th Floor). Alexander Gemignani (John Doyle's Sweeney Todd, Les Miserables), Jeffry Denman (White Christmas, John Doyle's Passion), and Michael Countryman (Wit) star. The Palace Theatre in downtown Manchester will close its 2012- 2013 Citizens Bank Performing Arts Series Season with an original musical production, British Invasion, from tonight, June 7th at 7:30 p.m. through Saturday, June 22nd, at 7:30 p.m. British Invasion, written, conceived and choreographed by Palace Theatre Artistic Director, Carl Rajotte, pays tribute to the innovative and timeless music influenced by the singers and musicians from across the pond.

The Tulsa return of Disney's THE LION KING opens tonight, Thursday, June 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center for a limited engagement of five weeks through Sunday, July 7. In Tulsa, THE LION KING will play Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday* evenings at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:00 p.m., Saturday matinees at 2:00 p.m., Sunday matinees at 1:00 p.m. and Sunday evenings at 6:30 p.m. with additional performances on Monday, July 1 at 7:30 p.m. and Friday, July 5 at 1:00 p.m. *There will be no performances on Thursday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day.
