Boston Playwrights' Theatre (BPT) continues its 2022-23 season with Sävë thë Whälës, etc. by David L. Caruso. Running from November 3-13, the play is directed by Noah Putterman.

'Saltonstall's Trial' the untold story of the infamous Salem witch trials makes its Boston debut at the historic Modern Theatre in a dramatic-stage reading performance on Thursday, October 27, at 7 p.m. Elliot Norton Award Winners, Jeremiah Kissel, Laura Latreille, and Malcolm Ingram lead the cast.

One of Boston’s most iconic actors will take on the holiday season’s most iconic character when Karen MacDonald stars as Ebenezer Scrooge in Courtney Sale’s world premiere adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol from November 30 to December 24 at Merrimack Repertory Theatre (MRT) in Lowell. Sale, the theatre’s Nancy L. Donahue Artistic Director, will also direct.

1776 begins previews on Broadway tonight, Friday, September 16, ahead of its official opening on Thursday, October 6, 2022. This is a limited engagement through Sunday, January 8, 2023 at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42nd Street).

The Green Room 42 will present a special concert reading of the new musical, Fountain of You, on Monday, September 26 at 7:00 PM. Fountain of You features book and lyrics by Tasha Gordon-Solmon and music by Faye Chiao, and stars Jenni Barber, Jason Veasey and Maya Days.

Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston announced the cast for Pippin, the 2nd and final production in the company’s Summer 2022 season. Running from August 5-13, 2022 at the Robinson Theatre.
