Vampire Cowboys Theatre Company Presents ALICE IN SLASHERLAND

Vampire Cowboys Theatre Company, will present the world premiere production of 'ALICE IN SLASHERLAND,' written by Qui Nguyen and directed by Robert Ross Parker, with fight choreography by Mr. Nguyen, when it begins performances on March 18 at HERE (www.here.org), 145 Sixth Avenue (between Spring and Broome Streets, enter on Dominick Street).

The Independent Film 2009 Spirit Awards were given out last night Saturday, February 21 in Los Angeles and The Wrestler was a big winner, nabbing Best Film and Best Actor for star Mickey Rourke. Other acting awards went to Melissa Leo for Best Actress for Frozen River, James Franco won best supporting actor for Milk, while Penelope Cruz snagged a best supporting win for Vicky Cristina Barcelona. Woody Allen earned a Best Screenplay award for the film as well.

Efron and Depp Win MTV Movie Awards

MTV held their annual MTV Movie Awards last night, June 1st, in Los Angeles and among the winners were Johnny Depp for the Best Villain in 'Sweeney Todd' and Zac Efron for Best Breakthrough Performance in 'Hairspray.'

SAG Award Winners include Kline, Baldwin, Bardem & Latifah

The Screen Actors' Guild (SAG) Awards will be held at the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center, to be broadcast live on TNT and TBS at 8PM. Top winners included Kevin Kline, Ruby Dee, Queen Latifah, Julie Christine, 'No Country for Old Men,' 'The Sopranos,' '30 Rock,' and 'The Office.'
