After four hugely successful years in the UK, Vevo announced it will bring its flagship Halloween event to the US in 2017, featuring an incredible line up of this year's most talked about emerging artists. For the first time, the event will happen simultaneously at the Craneway Pavillion in the Bay Area, San Francisco and Victoria Warehouse in Manchester on Saturday, October 28th. Presented by Honda Stage, the US show will host full live sets from 2017 Vevo LIFT artists Khalid, Julia Michaels, Amin and Jessie Reyez for 4,000 music fans. A fifth artist will be announced before the show in October.

Some books have the instant feel of a classic. UPROOTED by Naomi Novik is one of them. In many ways--some small, some large--this novel reminded me of beloved fantasy staples such as HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE by Diana Wynne Jones and The Immortals Quartet AKA the Daine books by Tamora Pierce. It's not a direct retelling of any one tale, but it's been influenced by several pieces of lore and gives nods to many others. To me, it mostly closely resembles a Beauty and the Beast tale, and yet, it's not any sort of retelling. It's also reminiscent of medieval lore where dragons drag girls off as village sacrifices, and yet, that's not quite right either. UPROOTED is wholly original, but will suit the tastes of fairy tale lovers everywhere.

Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Relief today announced additional celebrity participants and corporate partners. The one-hour special, which will benefit those affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, will air live and commercial free on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, at 8:00 p.m. EDT/7:00 p.m. CDT and re-air at 8:00 p.m. PDT on the West Coast.
