From America's Got Talent, iLuminate lights up the stage at The Ridgefield Playhouse on September 17.

Get ready for a dance performance that's like nothing you've seen before with iLuminate! Literally glowing in the dark, iLuminate first seared itself into the eyes of millions on NBC's America's Got Talent.

The group's jaw-dropping fusion of technology and choreography uses special light suits that baffle audience members by enabling the performers to disappear, reappear, and seemingly levitate. Now, the unique group makes its way to the Ridgefield Playhouse on Sunday, September 17 at 5pm as a part of the Ridgefield Academy Family Series and the Ridgefield Magazine's Broadway & Cabaret Series. Founded by dancer and software engineer Miral Kotb, iLuminate enables performers, choreographers, engineers, technicians, stylists and artistic directors to produce explosive performances with customized wireless lighting programs. The results are extraordinary lighting effects choreographed with phenomenal dance moves that take viewers on an exhilarating ride. Media sponsor for this unforgettable journey of light and sound is Danbury's 98Q.

Since launching in 2009, iLuminate's patented technology has been used in numerous performances by Grammy-winning superstars such as Chris Brown, Christina Aguilera, The Black Eyed Peas, and David Guetta, among others. It has also been featured on hit primetime television shows including "America's Got Talent" (in which the dance troupe took third place), "Dancing with the Stars" and "X Factor," awards shows like the "American Music Awards," "MTV's Video Music Awards," "BET Awards," "The Nickelodeon Awards," "Billboard" and "Latin Billboard Awards," and daytime favorites "The Ellen Degeneres Show," "The Wendy Williams Show," and "Good Morning America" and "The Queen Latifah Show."

iLuminate uses its groundbreaking technology to synchronize movement and music and tell a story that will captivate the whole family. A tale of adventure and romance is brought to life by an array of dance styles from contemporary to popping to breaking expressed through a glowing visual design. Everything is perfectly choreographed to popular and classic music by artists like Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars, James Brown, Janet Jackson, Chris Brown, LMFAO, The Wanted, and Sam Smith.

For tickets ($60), call the box office at 203-438-5795, or visit ridgefieldplayhouse.org. The Ridgefield Playhouse is a non-profit performing arts center located at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street, Ridgefield, CT.
