Ellen's bi-coastal premiere tied for her highest rated debut week ever with Households earning 2.9/8 rating/share (tied with premiere rating in 2014) and second highest rated debut week with Women 25-54 nabbing a 1.6/10 (just shy of the 1.8 earned in 2012).

They will make stops in 41 cities including Atlanta, New York, Boston, Detroit, Nashville, Los Angeles and Salt Lake City with a stop in St. Louis at the Fabulous Fox Theatre on Thursday, March 31 at 7:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, Jimmy Fallon returned to #1 among late-night talk shows in adults 18-49 and total viewers -- beating CBS's “Colbert” and ABC's “Kimmel” combined in 18-49 (1.24 vs. a combined 1.23) -- while Seth Meyers also ranked #1 at 12:35 a.m. ET.

Now the Geffen begins its 20th anniversary season with what promises to be a British invasion on stage not seen since the Beatles. For the first time in what seems like forever, there is going to be a legitimate late-night war on network television. It won't be fueled by animosity between hosts (as evidenced by their locker room bromance), but instead by vastly different perspectives on what the job is and what it could be. Those who were worried that Stephen Colbert would just be adding another lilywhite male voice to the seemingly homogenous late-night landscape still have justifiable concerns, but at least this lilywhite male voice will be slightly more thoughtful and inquisitive than the others.
