Tarragon Theatre presents the world premiere of Cake and Dirt, written by one of Canada's most prolific and acclaimed playwrights, Daniel MacIvor, a Tarragon Playwright-in-Residence and a Governor General's Literary Award-winner. This darkly comic look at life in Toronto through a fractured family of privilege opens March 11 and runs to April 12, 2015 (previewing from tonight, March 3) in Tarragon's Mainspace.

Preliminary rounds are hosted across the university's campuses in New York, Shanghai and Abu Dhabi and the best 15 acts compete live at the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts. UVL, sponsored by the Inter-Residence Hall Council [IRHC] and Tisch Alumni Relations, is now in its twelfth year. UltraViolet Live is tonight, February 26th at 7pm in the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts.

If crowd appeal is any indication of a show's worth, Wicked is a multimillion-dollar treasure. WICKED's second national tour, 'The Munchkinland Tour,' flew into the Fox Theatre on Wednesday, February 18 to play a 3-week engagement, marking the show's fourth engagement at the historic Atlanta venue. Not surprisingly, this production did not disappoint.

Broadway In Chicago has announced Evan Rachel Wood (Thirteen, The Wrestler, Across the Universe) will join the cast of “FOR THE RECORD: DEAR JOHN HUGHES,” an immersive, concert event showcasing the works of beloved Chicago native John Hughes, at the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E. Chestnut) the second week of performances March 12 – 15, 2015. Evan Rachel Wood will replace Rumer Willis who will play “Basket Case” in the first week of performances March 5 – 8, 2015. Willis will be returning to Los Angeles to prepare for her upcoming, just announced debut on Season 20 of ABC's “Dancing With The Stars.'

Most musical theater ends with a simple curtain call with the audience expressing their appreciation for the performance they had attended. Mamma Mia, though, ends with and explosion of music, bringing the audience to it's feet for an encore where the cast invites the audience to sing and dance along. And, Friday Night at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, we certainly did.
