Featuring life-size sculptures of Pohl's signature Ideal Woman series, the installation will be on view at booth F07. Addressing the social constructs of perfection and the demands made on a woman's body, Pohl's installation shows how these conceptions can be represented by trends in pubic hair.

This week, Mr. van Zweden will lead the Orchestra in Korngold's Violin Concerto, with Hilary Hahn as soloist; Beethoven's Symphony No. 7; and J. Wagenaar's Cyrano de Bergerac Overture, marking the Philharmonic's first time performing the work, tonight, November 26, 2014, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, November 28 at 8:00 p.m.; and Saturday, November 29 at 8:00 p.m.

Miami, FL (November 24, 2014) — December 2-7, Black Book Gallery will present an installation by conceptual artist Allie Pohl at SCOPE Miami Beach. Addressing the social constructs of perfection and the demands made on a woman's body, Pohl's installation shows how these conceptions can be represented by trends in pubic hair. Pohl created the Ideal Woman by digitally enhancing Barbie to fit Western society's ideal female measurements of 36-24-36. The Designer Ideal Woman series is finished in layers of glitter, referencing youth, glamour, and the notion of 'never letting go of your sparkle.' The sculptures have touchable muffs which show the evolution of the bikini line—or the evolving trend of shrinking pubic hair—influenced by the infiltration of porn culture and the increased demand for hairless vaginas.

Newman University in Wichita, Kan., made changes to its production of LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL, according to an article in the student newspaper The Vantage, due to the 'appropriateness' of some of its content. The show opened on November 20th and ran through the weekend.

It's been 10 years since The Circus Project, became a charity. To celebrate all of the wonderful things they have achieved in this decade they are organising a fundraising event this December. The event will run on Sunday the 7th of December, from 4:30pm to 7:30pm at Hangleton Community Centre, Harmsworth Crescent, Hove, BN3 8BW.

We kick off this new series with the enormously talented, big-voiced Harley Seger, a 16-year-old junior at Christ Presbyterian Academy, who has been onstage for half her life. A stalwart of CPA theater under the direction of Paula Flautt, earlier this spring Harley was named best actress at the first Lipscomb University High School Musical Awards.

Jaap van Zweden - music director of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and Hong Kong Philharmonic as well as former concertmaster of Amsterdam's Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra - will return to the New York Philharmonic for the first time since his debut in April 2012 to conduct two weeks of concerts. In the first program, Mr. van Zweden will conduct Mozart's Sinfonia concertante for Violin and Viola, featuring Acting Concertmaster Sheryl Staples and Principal Viola Cynthia Phelps, and Shostakovich's Symphony No. 8, tonight, November 20, 2014, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, November 21 at 2:00 p.m.; and Saturday, November 22 at 8:00 p.m.

CBS Films has turned to writer John August (Broadway's BIG FISH) to pen a script based on Alvin Schwartz's iconic book series 'Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark.'
