Perkins will be in Chicago on May 6th for a book signing and lecture of the follow-up to his bestseller, 'The New Confessions of an Economic Hit Man' at Hilton | Asmus Contemporary, 716 N. Wells in River North.

The Barn Theatre of Montville, New Jersey will be presenting LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL.

FX has ordered a new anthology series from Ryan Murphy. Titled FEUD, the series joins Murphy's other FX dramas, AMERICAN HORROR STORY and AMERICAN CRIME STORY.

?VIVIAN REED, the two-time Tony Award-nominated Broadway star and concert artist called "remarkable and ferocious" by The New York Times and "a force of nature" by The New York Post, continues her acclaimed concert series "Standards and More" at The Metropolitan Room on Monday, May 23 at 7:00 PM. Returning as special guests for this performance will be Metropolitan Opera soprano Janinah Burnett and Broadway and nightclub Raun Ruffin star, who appeared in The Civil War. Reed will also perform at The Metropolitan Room on June 17 and July 21, backed by a four-piece band led by Billy McDaniel. The evening includes unique arrangements of classic standards by Duke Ellington, Rodgers & Hart, Cole Porter and George Gershwin in a dazzling blend of pop, jazz, soul and R&B.

Utah Youth Philharmonic and Utah Youth Symphony Orchestra, in collaboration with Repertory Dance Theatre, will be performing the U.S. premiere of "HandsFree", Anna Meredith's first body percussion piece. This will be the first time that Utah Youth members, under Barbara Scowcroft, Music Director and Conductor, have performed a piece without instruments. They will also be joined by Utah Youth Junior Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Dan Rich, for Tchaikovsky's 4th Symphony.

On Thursday, May 26th at 7:00 PM, students and supporters from 33 participating schools across the Mid-South will gather at The Orpheum Theatre for the 7th Annual High School Musical Theatre Awards, sponsored in part by Memphis Audio and Sedgwick.  Modeled after the Tony Awards, the High School Musical Theatre Awards recognize achievements in all areas of high school musical theatre.
