Riverside Theatre, led by Producing Artistic Director/CEO Allen D. Cornell and Managing Director/COO Jon R. Moses, is delighted to announce its 45th Anniversary Season for 2018-2019. Building on the success and support the theatre has attained over the last few years, Riverside is proud to present a magnificent season of music, comedy, and drama.

The Clay Center in Charleston, WV has announced their 2018-2019 Broadway in Charleston line up! Classics and new hits combine to ensure a great season for theatre lovers in the area.

The Play Company (PlayCo), led by Founding Producer Kate Loewald and Managing Director Robert G. Bradshaw, today announces the complete cast for Toshiki Okada's Time's Journey Through a Room, marking PlayCo's third collaboration with Okada, translator Aya Ogawa, and director Dan Rothenberg, May 10 - June 10, 2018. This haunting play, set in post-Fukushima Japan, will star three Japanese born performers, all of whom are now based in New York: Yuki Kawahisa (Honoka), Maho Honda (Arisa) and Kensaku Shinohara (Kazuki). The play is both an intimate examination of how we move forward from life-altering events, and a study of how we experience time, asking whether we can ever be alive to the present moment.

This week audiences are invited to journey under the sea as Birdie Productions opens The Little Mermaid at the Bryan Brown Theatre in Bankstown. The show will run from 13 - 22nd April and stars Jaime Hadwen (Muriel's Wedding) as Ariel, Tom Ragen as Prince Eric, Michele Lansdown as Ursula and Julian Kuo as Sebastian.

Based on the award-winning Broadway musical and the smash hit motion picture, Legally Blonde The Musical JR. is a fabulously fun journey of self-empowerment and expanding horizons. Legally Blonde The Musical JR. follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. When Elle's boyfriend, Warner, dumps her and heads to Harvard, claiming she's not 'serious' enough, Elle takes matters into her own hands, crafting a showy song-and-dance personal essay and charming her way into law school. Befriending classmate, Emmett, and spunky hairdresser, Paulette, along the way, Elle finds that books and looks aren't mutually exclusive. As Elle begins outsmarting her peers, she realizes that law may be her natural calling after all. Performances run April 6th & 7th at 3:30 & 7:00 pm at the Jeanne B. McCoy Community Center, 100 W. Imagine Ballet Theatre, an Ogden-based ballet company, is bringing spring to the stage of Peery's Egyptian Theatre, with their whimsical  production of Fairyopolis, Mad Rush, Bartok Dances and a special  performance by PALS on April 27and 28, 2018. Choreography by Artistic Director Raymond Van Mason and the magical score composed by Felix Mendelssohn will have live accompaniment by Chamber Orchestra Ogden under the direction of Gabriel Gordon, The story is loosely based off the books How to find Flower Fairies by Cicely Mary Barker.

Mat Kearney is thrilled to share his exquisite new music video for lead single “Kings & Queens” with his fans as the single cracks into the Top 30 at Hot AC and racks up 4 Million streams.  Kearney premiered the video last week, the day after his sold-out show at Nashville's legendary Ryman Auditorium on March 24th.  The single, which Kearney wrote with the help of Judah & the Lion's Judah Akers, is one of four new songs to drop from his forthcoming studio albumCRAZYTALK – due out May 4th via Tomorrow Music/Caroline.

The Sydney Opera House today announced that Tony Award-winning actor/director/writer and co-creator of cult-classic musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch John Cameron Mitchell will bring his new show to the Concert Hall this June as part of his first Australia tour.

Emmy-winner and native Houstonian, Jim Parsons announced the nominees for Best Musical via video on the Tommy Tune Awards Facebook page. Parsons, who started his career on the stage in Houston, will star in The Boys in the Band on Broadway next month.
