Watch the annual public presentation of Dorset's Women Artists Writing Group ONLINE as they share short pieces and works-in-process written in response to the word GRACE.

Dorset Theatre Festival has announced release dates for two new virtual events. A collection of short pieces written by the Festival's Women Artists Writing Group will be available on-demand starting July 31, and an online reading of New York Times best-selling author Chris Bohjalian's play, Wingspan, will stream August 3-9.

STRIPPED SCRIPTS Theater Company will present the world premiere of CANARY SNUFF FILM, written by Elizabeth M. Kelly (LAByrinth, EST), Heidi Armbruster (Mrs. Christie at Dorset Theater Festival, Every Good Girl Deserves Funa?? at Walker Space) and Maggie Diaz Bofill (Devil of Choice at LAByrinth, Winners at EST), and directed by Alfredo Narciso (LAByrinth, EST & Partial Comfort company member), Michelle Bossy (HBO Access Program semifinalist, Denham Fellowship recipient) and Jessica Bauman (Dorset Theater Festival resident director, New Georges).

Cherry Lane Theatre (Angelina Fiordellisi, Executive Director; Seri Lawrence, Artistic Director) has announced a workshop presentation of a new work, The Making Of) How to Save the World in 90 Minutes by writer/composer Shawn Randall, directed by Alfredo Narciso and mentored by Diana Oh ({my lingerie play}). Dorset Theatre Festival, under the leadership of Artistic Director Dina Janis, closed its 41st Festival Season at the beginning of September with a sold-out special engagement of Holland Taylor's play ANN at the Dorset Playhouse. As part of the closing weekend, Dorset presented a special post-show panel discussion featuring local female politicians and hosted the third annual Women Artists Writing Group retreat.

Dorset Theatre Festival is committed to cultivating female voices onstage through its Women Artists Writing (WAW) Group, helmed by actors Heidi Armbruster and Mary Bacon. 

THE ROGUE AND PEASANT PLAYERS (Malka Wallick, Artistic Director) is proud to present William Shakespeare's HENRY V. This raw and visceral production (directed by Kelly Monroe Johnston) will focus on language to evoke the imagination and story.  Performances begin on January 28 at the Access Theater (380 Broadway, New York, NY 10013).

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof is showing in the Sydney Laurence Theatre at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts today, April 11 - 27, 2014.
