Prospect Theater Company (Cara Reichel, Producing Artistic Director / Melissa Huber, Managing Director) presents its annual gala evening, Make Our Garden Grow, in the Harbor View Room at Battery Gardens, a beautiful and unique waterside location nestled at the southern most corner of Battery Park, on Monday, June 27, 2011 from 6pm - 10:30pm, with an 8pm concert performance featuring Broadway friends as well as Prospect stars! Battery Gardens is located inside New York City's Battery Park (opposite 17 State Street)

The soundtrack to the indie rock musical Clear Blue Tuesday, directed by Elizabeth Lucas, will be released on Aug. 24 by Sh-K-Boom Records. Clear Blue Tuesday takes audiences through seven Tuesdays. The film follows the transformation of 11 New Yorkers over the span of seven years.

Starfighter Onstage, LLC has announced its new projects in development for 2010.
First, it will start developing a new musical adapted from the comic novel VIVA MAX! by Jim Lehrer (NewsHour with Jim Lehrer). VIVA MAX! is a satire about a Mexican general who tries to impress a woman who spurned him, embarking on a quest to cross the border into the United States and recapture the Alamo. Jim Lehrer's novel was the source of a 1969 film comedy in which Peter Ustinov played the general. Fred Landau (who wrote the book for the LLC's LAST STARFIGHTER musical) is writing the book, and is developing the novel-to-stage adaptation of the story with Julie Miller. The composer and lyricist will be announced soon.

Manu Narayan (Bombay Dreams on Broadway, subUrbia at Second Stage, The Love Guru starring Mike Myers) will star in the rock and roll vampire musical The Cure, running September 29th-October 11th at the American Theatre of Actors in the upcoming 2009 New York Musical Theatre Festival. Written by Mark Weiser, The Cure will feature direction from Elizabeth Lucas (Wild About Harry, The Last Starfighter, and The View From Here at NYMF), and is produced by The New York Musical Theatre Festival and Samantha Saltzman.
