The rock n roll fable, THE CURE, will be hosting two lunchtime presentations April 27, 2010 at Sweet Caroline's. The presentations will take place at 12:00pm and 1:30pm. The half-hour concerts will offer a taste of the project, most recently seen as a workshop production at the 2009 New York Musical Theater Festival (NYMF).

In this rock n roll fable, two friends stumble across the world's last surviving vampires. Offered the chance to live forever, one man is seduced while the other barely escapes with his life, setting in motion an even greater fight for survival. At the crossroads of humanity and immortality, lies...THE CURE.

THE CURE is written by Mark Weiser, a 2010 participant in the New Dramatist Composer/Librettist Studio, and a Jonathan Larson Award Finalist.

The presentation features Michael Buchanan (Addams Family, Cry Baby), Bryan Fenkhart (Memphis), Gregg Goodbrod (Thoroughly Modern Millie), Dan Greenwood, Kyle Harris (Sondheim on Sondheim), and Jen Sese (Hair).

Elizabeth Lucas is the director, and Mark Hartman is the music director.
