The cast of THE BOOK OF MORMON will open the 66th Annual Tony Awards on Sunday, June 10th, according to the New York Post.

Steve Kazee is this year's recipient of the Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role of a Musical for ONCE.

ONCE is this year's recipient of the Tony Award for Best Musical. The show opened on March 18, 2012 at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre and stars Steve Kazee as 'Guy' and Cristin Milioti as 'Girl.'

The Tony Awards has announced the line-up of performances for the 66th Annual Tony Awards on Sunday, June 10th. The evening, which will be packed with more entertainment than ever before, will feature performances by 2012 Tony Nominated Musicals including: Evita featuring Ricky Martin and Elena Roger; Follies featuring Tony nominated actor Danny Burstein; The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess featuring Tony nominees Audra McDonald, Norm Lewis and David Alan Grier; Jesus Christ Superstar featuring Tony nominee Josh Young; Leap of Faith featuring Raul Esparza; Newsies, featuring Tony nominated actor Jeremy Jordan; Nice Work If You Can Get It featuring Matthew Broderick and Tony nominee Kelli O'Hara; and Once featuring Tony nominees Steve Kazee, Cristin Milioti and Elizabeth A. Davis. The evening will also include performances by Tony nominated Plays, such as: End of the Rainbow with Tony nominated actress Tracie Bennett; One Man, Two Guvnors with Tony nominated actor James Corden and Peter and the Starcatcher featuring Tony nominees Christian Borle and Celia Keenan-Bolger. The show will also feature a performance with Corbin Bleu and the cast of Godspell and Ghost The Musical featuring Bryce Pinkham, Caissie Levy and Richard Fleeshman.

On Thursday June 7, 2012, the League of Professional Theatre Women (LPTW), a non-profit organization committed to promoting visibility and increasing opportunities for women in the professional theatre, recognizes the talents of two outstanding women: the LPTW Lucille Lortel Award and accompanying grant will be presented to Rachel Reiner, Artistic Director of Resonance Theatre; and the Ruth Morley Design Award will be given to multi-award nominated costume designer Ann Roth.

The cast of the Tony nominated Best Musical, ONCE will perform live on WNYC's "Soundcheck" Friday, May 25. "Soundcheck" can be heard locally at 2PM and 10PM EST on 93.9FM. The production opened to raves on Sunday, March 18, 2012 and currently plays on Broadway at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (242 West 45th Street).

The cast of the Tony nominated Best Musical, ONCE will perform on ABC's "The View" on Thursday, May 17. "The View" airs locally on WABC7, 11AM-12PM EST. ONCE currently plays on Broadway at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (242 West 45th Street). The production opened to raves on Sunday, March 18, 2012. A national tour will begin in the summer of 2013.

The 2012 Drama Critics Circle aAards were presented at a cocktail reception last night, May 14, at Angus McIndoe Restaurant. Sons of the Prophet, written by Stephen Karam, won the New York Drama Critics' Circle Award (NYDCC) for Best Play of the 2011-2012 season. 'I'm actually shocked- quite shocked! And enormously thankful and honored. My husband and I were in a dead sleep and my sweet neighbor downstairs came screaming up the steps my name. And she woke us up and said I'd been nominated and I said 'what?!' And I said 'I don't belive you!' So I made my husband check online because I didn't believe her. And I just collapsed. I think we might be taking a Zipcar to Chick-fil-A today in Paramus. We both love it and we've been jonesing for some Chick-Fil-A so this might be the day!'
