Performances will take place at The Den Theatre on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 3 pm. Level 11 will make The Library a 'PAY WHAT YOU CAN' performance. The CHICAGO ONE-MINUTE PLAY FESTIVAL (#1MPF) returns with a twist: the sixth annual event will celebrate the works of all women and women-identified playwrights and directors.

The fourth annual Indie Boots Theatre Festival celebrates new short plays with underrepresented perspectives on whose stories are worth telling, what's funny, and how the world works. From hilarious comedies to thoughtful dramas, from angsty realism to sci-fi adventures, the plays and their characters grapple with love, feminism, LGBTQ communities, friendship, history, intricacies of language, activism, and a missing vibrator.

Broken Nose Theatre (BNT) continues their first season as a Pay-What-You-Can organization with the Chicago Premiere of HUMAN TERRAIN, written by recent PEN/Laura Pels International Foundation Award winner Jennifer Blackmer and directed by BNT Artistic Director Benjamin Brownson. The CHICAGO ONE-MINUTE PLAY FESTIVAL (#1MPF) returns with a twist: the sixth annual event will celebrate the works of all women and women-identified playwrights and directors. The marathon evening of one-minute plays by more than 70 of Chicago's established and emerging playwrights and directors will play two nights only, Tuesday, May 3 and Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at The Den Theatre, 1333 N. Midsommer Flight announces its fourth season presenting free Shakespeare productions, returning to Chicago parks this summer with the classic tragedy Macbeth. Dedicated to presenting quality, accessible productions of Shakespeare's plays, Midsommer Flight is a proud arts partner with the Chicago Park District.

As they head into their fourth season, Broken Nose Theatre (BNT) is establishing itself as one of the city's first exclusively Pay-What-You-Can (PWYC) storefront theatre companies. Beginning in September, all performances of any BNT MainStage production will fall under their new "We Set the Stage, You Set the Price" initiative, placing the reins in the hands of their audience members.
